"Entry and Reception under renovation. No access down one flight of stairs as Lift was out of order as well. Superior King room with City Views was their best and at their highest price ... 3-Star only ! Tiles mouldy, skirting boards aboung with fluff and dust. Bed-side table still carrying spill imprint from previius guests. Shower rail came adrift without any pressure. All signs of poor cleaning and maintenance regime. Breakfast offerings were of a high standard, yet guests were asked to pay extra if "brewed coffee" was sought. Close to Central Station, yet major construction works made walking difficult. Stayed there 20 years+ earlier, much better then. Not make another booking."

"The owner could have been more friendly, claimed my USA credit card did not work tried four of them. Yet it worked every where else. I had to go to the bank get cash. "

"Aspects of my stay were up to standard. Others were not. While my room was clean and well presented, the bed was overly hard. Additionally, the pillows were thin and provided no support. The blind mechanisms were faulty on two of the windows. Staff were generally professional, however in the bar area we found we had to make several requests before are initial order arrived. "

"This hotel was a 10/10. Room size was perfect. Amenities in room were good - kettle, microwave, and fridge. Great shower. Storage space. Safe. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of electrical sources. The communal kitchen was amazing to use and having a laundry room with ironing facilities was very useful 👌. The buffet breakfast was excellent and great value for money. Didn’t use the gym but it looked good. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Wish there were more Lyf hotels internationally 😊"

"Overall hotel is good location and views. Staff were friendly and helpful. The one disappointment was the club lounge. Have stayed there several times before and the offering in the club lounge appears to have declined. First night they ran out of wine glasses and options were limited. Also on checkout the foyer was filled with bags as they do not appear to have a separate baggage room so navigating around bags. If staying the rooms and staff are good but I do not recommend the club option"
