If one is looking for the Calm Sunday by the pool , this is a party hotel and the vibe of the live DJ sets on sundays are key ! Extremely friendly ADULT only Hotel ! Several return visits booked already !

Their staff is the best part of this experience. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. Especially as a solo traveler and an introvert, everyone was so warm and friendly From the front desk to the cleaning crew. The construction happening behind the hotel was a bit bothersome, but that's out of their control.

Tryst was EXCELLENT! I visited the property in April 2025 and this is my first stay but certainly not my last. I've stayed at surrounding properties in the past but I have found my home away from home while visiting PV. Looking forward to the next time!

Transferred from a subpar hotel in the area. Best move I could have made. Excellent accommodations and location short walk to Green Chairs beach. Staff was super friendly and made sure to point out the complimentary mini bar in the room. Only downside the elevator is super tiny. So be prepared to take the stairs if in a hurry.

The Tryst impressed me on every level. The property is beautiful. They are still doing some construction, but I did not find it bothersome. The staff are VERY friendly. The food is excellent. The bed was the most comfortable I have had in a hotel. Wonderful place.

WONDERFUL!

It's been a few weeks now since my stay at The Tryst but I'm still left with the lasting impression of just how lovely this hotel and it's staff are. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left 15 nights after, it was nothing short of wonderful. Everyone goes out of their way to make you comfortable and relaxed. The rooms and communal areas are all fantastic and it's just a few mins from the beach and the action. I can't wait to return.

This a a fabulous LGBTQ centered hotel. The staff were accomodating and friendly. The property and room were beautifully appointed. The Sunday Drag Brunch is a must do. Only drawback was ongoing construction on the building. Some noise and they do provide earplugs. Stocked refrigerator in room with complimentary water and soft drinks, good. No coffee maker in room, bad. Overall, highly recommended a stay at Tryst.

Exciting first visit to the Tryst PV

I only had a night at the trust Puerto Vallarta, but I’ll definitely be back when I visit again. The place is gorgeous! The design is so thoughtful, and the interior design is really smart. The staff is super friendly and the service is amazing. I loved my room with a view of the water. I could’ve just sat on the balcony for hours. The rooftop bar was stunning, especially for sunset! And the lobby restaurant has been delicious. There’s a bit of construction going on next door on the street, but it didn’t bother me at all. A fine trade off for having such a stunning open air property.

Minimalist charm, but overpriced.

This place is still completing construction. Overall it was decent but not worth the prices they are charging. The common areas, especially the rooftop with pool are the highlights. The room itself was underwhelming. I estimate that it was about half full when I was there.

My room was spacious and gorgeous. It had some of the best views in Zona Romantica. Mike, Rodolfo, and the rest of the staff were very attentive. Everyone made my stay special and relaxing. The top floor with the infinity pool was simply breathtaking. Once you get into the pool, you do not want to leave. I like that there was a restaurant and bar on the property. The hotel is also conveniently located near Playa de los Muertos, several restaurants and bars. My whole experience at The Tryst felt like true luxury. I'll definitely be staying there again during my next visit to Puerto Vallarta.

The Tryst is a beautifully designed hotel and the staff was great. Rooftop pool was amazing the drink service up there was impeccable. Rooms are nice and beds were super comfy. However, there is only one elevator and it’s pretty slow, so you’ll find yourself taking the stairs a lot which isn’t a huge deal unless you’re on a higher floor. Also there is no gym or spa, again not a big deal but at the hotel’s price point it would’ve been nice. Biggest problem, but one that should be temporary is the ongoing construction. I’m generally a very deep sleeper; especially after a night of drinking. However, the construction noose is sooooo loud that I wasn’t able to sleep past 830 any of the 9 days I was there l, which kind of sucked.

Construction issues

Unfortunately, the experience was significantly impacted by ongoing construction noise, which made it difficult to relax and truly enjoy my time there. The noise was persistent and disruptive, affecting the entire stay. That said, I do want to acknowledge that the staff and service were excellent—they were the one saving grace of the experience. Their professionalism and attentiveness stood out, and I truly appreciate their efforts. However, given the level of disruption, I feel that some form of acknowledgment or resolution would be appropriate. I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously for future guests, as I had higher expectations based on the reputation of the hotel.

The friendliest and most welcoming staff. Amenities were great, they even put balloons up upon request for my husband’s 40th birthday. The hotel is beautiful, great location, very walkable to anything you want, you name it, It was great.

My stay at The Tryst Hotel in Puerto Vallarta was amazing, but what truly made it unforgettable was Taylor. From the very first moment, his warm smile and genuine kindness made me feel like I belonged there. He wasn’t just doing a job — his authenticity and beautiful spirit shined through in everything he did. I honestly felt like I was at home because of him. If I ever return to The Tryst, Taylor would be 95% of the reason why. People like him are rare, and he turned a great trip into something deeply memorable.
