You can smell sweat from the people who used that bed, plus they are too hard to rest your head on and sleep. For the category that this hotel has, they should use anti-allergic pillows. Also I was really disappointed about the beach accommodations and the tiny and old elevator. The kitchen and the door man staff were very helpful, nice and friendly. Some of the ladies on the front desk and concierge have a little bit of attitude when they have to deal with Spanish visitors. They automatically change the way they talk when they have to deal with people from other countries. I give this resort a 3 star.

Our stay at the Barcelo PV was wonderful. We stayed in a spacious 2 bedroom family room with 2 bathrooms, which was fantastic. The staff were so friendly everywhere. The service was great. We enjoyed the mexcian food a lot. And our experience at all the restaurants was amazing. Pool water was warm and the entertainment staff were amazing.

Not very many restaurant choices - multiple were closed during stay. No real VIP / Premium perks. Staff not very friendly

The staff is kind and helpful. Food need work and some areas look like they need some maintenance. The lady in reception Cassandra R is amazing as well as many others. But she was knowledgeable professional and always willing to help you

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful partial view of the ocean. The property was clean and there was a variety of food options.

Pros: Stayed at this resort April 26-May 3. Overall wonderful property! I will definitely come back here in the future. The staff are great, the customer service is also wonderful. The restaurants on the resort were also great. Except for the seafood one. I expected better food but it wasn’t anything special. The nighttime Shows were amazing!! And I appreciate the fact that we weren’t scattering around for drinks. There’s always someone to offer you a drink. Adelina was AMAZING and helped out with booking the restaurants and bus transfers. Rooms were also wonderful!! Don’t except a King size bed though even when you click the king size room after booking. We ended up with 2 double size beds and fought hard for the king bed since we had our child sleeping with us. We walked off the resort to restaurants and convenient stores which was amazing! Cons - The pool bar closed at 5:30pm which is ridiculous - The music turns off the same time the pool bar ended - We have to return the beach volley ball when the pool bar closed which is also crazy - The Chinese buffet was not the greatest - Security told my brother and sister to go to their beds and upstairs to their rooms at 1am and they stood their ground and said no, they will go to bed when they’re ready and they just walked away. - They had the child day care by the adult section and the pool bar by the child section. The layout isn’t the greatest. Overall, I’ll be back if I absolutely can’t find something better.
