The setting was excellent and location was very special but the food was very average.

I really enjoyed the dining area which is a covered colonnade and looks over green lawns to the river. Colourful butterflies and birds abound.
The highlight for me was the guided jungle walk with Marco as he has such a keen eye for spotting nature and his knowledge of the history of the area is extensive. It was wonderful to visit the church designed by the renowned architect Alejandro Bustillo and see the stained and etched glass windows.

Good stay for two nights in the middle of nowhere. Probably better for longer stay if you want to see the property and the falls as it is a good 40 min drive. Staff were fantastic and dinner was good. Breakfast was standard sugary Argentinian affair, nothing to rave about or complain about.

Atmospheric Hotel in the Rainforest
Posted 31 May 2015
Pros: Its uniqueness as a location, situated on an old plantation. The building, especially the drawing room and its views of the rainforest were great.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Quite remote but with its own library and stunning views nothing else is required.
Had a fantastic stay at the Don Puerto Bemberg whilst visiting Iguazu Falls. It rained on day one so we were provided with a walking tour of the rainforest which was a once in a lifetime experience. The location is about 50km from Iguazu so be prepared for a taxi or like ourselves catch a bus once down in the village.

A True Jungle Gem!!!
Posted 23 Feb 2015 on HotelsThis was a refreshing retreat from the crowds of Iguazu Falls. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. At the same time they respected our privacy and desire to soak in the peaceful surroundings.
We enjoyed a private walk to the nearby waterfall/swimming hole. The beauty and solitude of the jungle enveloped us.
We were delighted with the regional cuisine served at the onsite restaurant. And the waiter staff were friendly and helpful.
I would recommend communicating in Spanish with the staff, but the experience can still be enjoyed if you only speak English.

maison coloniale ancienne et isolée, on est dans un autre temps au bord de la rivière et au milieu d'une végétation tropicale luxuriante
