Under new management and they are trying, but Was disappointed that the laundry service was not working. Staff was very nice and apologetic for any inconveniences. I think it should improve now with new management.

Check in took half an hour, even though there were only two people ahead of me. Breakfast was incredibly skimpy.

The lighting in the room was poor. There were two lighting fixtures that did not work, possibly due to lightbulbs burned out. Could not see well to read. There were no tissues in the tissue box, and I tend to blow my nose often. There was a towel which had a black stain on it. People were up to all hours in the other rooms. Would have rather been on the first floor, then having to climb those stairs to the second floor. Did not have that option. No elevator.

Very clean rooms and friendly staff, but I only have three complaints. First, the beds were not queen size beds. More like twin. Second, when I looked up the hotel and it stated it served breakfast it would have been better to put continental breakfast. And last, my aunt left her belongings on the bed due to her health issues. We came back from my cousin funeral and her belongings were touched. I’ve stayed at several hotels and motels. Usually when the occupants belongings are on the bed the cleaning staff doesn’t touch the bed or touch the occupants belongings.

Quality Inn Poughkeepsie exceeded my expectations, and exceeded poor reviews on this site. It was reasonably priced, clean, quiet, and convenient for my purpose of visiting a student at Vassar College. It is located near many dining options and easy to reach. I'll stay here every time I visit Poughkeepsie.

Very clean! Also, first time since covid 2020 where there was housekeeping on a two night stay. TV didn't work properly was my only complaint.
