This is a nice hotel located close to lots of shops and restaurants. Check in was quick and easy, we arrived early and our room was ready for us. Clean and large, very comfortable and staff was kind and friendly. Only issue we had is the $40 valet parking, which we could have driven into the parking lot ourselves, but since no parking anywhere, we had to pay it. That is pretty exorbitant so hopefully the hotel will drop the price to make it more reasonable. But all in all a good stay.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and spacious. We were right in town so everything was walking distance. The locals were so nice and everywhere was just so clean. I am very impressed with the hotel and downtown Portsmouth. Will definitely stay here again. 🙂

I love staying at Hampton Portwalk. It is convenient to restaurants and stores. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I appreciate that I could purchase a bottle of wine to take to my room. A nice bonus to not have to go in search of a store upon arriving after a 65 mile bicycle ride. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful visit. However paying $40 per night on top of the hotel price was an insult.

There are other options for parking in town, the on-street parking is metered but generally stops charging overnight. Additionally, there is the Foundry parking garage located just a block behind our hotel which offers overnight parking for only 1/hour. loved the location in downtown and the walkability of the area. Staff was always very courteous and helpful.
