Typical Badly Managed Hotel

Same old story things broken or don"t work when you check in. Lobby impressive, but that is all that is impressive about this hotel. When I checked in went to the room and checked out if everything worked. As is usual 50% of the time at All hotels, the room safe did not work (this gets old). The A/C was making a lot of noise, I turned back around to the reception and asked for a different room. New room A/C and room safe worked. The rooms in this hotel are the size of IBIS rooms, except you are paying much more for a not as well maintained room. Bathroom about IBIS size excepot the shower was slightly bigger. There was no elevator to go to the dining room it was on a second floor and you had a winding stairway. I had knee surgery a few months ago and this was not fun. Limited breakfast items and they were never warm, they had no hot plates. This is an older propery which needs complete remodeling especially an accessible dining room. Also they only thing really around is a hospital, not much else. Cannot Recommend, stay at an IBIS instead for less money and more modern facilities.

A 1930's villa serves as the reception and dining area with rooms etc in a new building at the rear.The villa is sensitively adopted to its new purpose.The staff are welcoming and helpful.Breakfast is good but other dining is disappointing.The location is excellent.

Delivers way less than it promised.

The hotel sets itself as being an upmarket hotel experience. Trying to marry old school roots with modern service and it misses on both accounts. What is kept as old school, especially the dining area / restaurant just ends up being really creaky seating, wobbly tables, rickety self serving areas for a buffet. The bedrooms are really small. Not very well decorated and the mini-bar is expensive and poorly stocked. Bathrooms shower is good. Heats up quickly and powerful. The rest of the bathroom is cheaply outfitted. The staff were minimal and minimum effort. I won’t stat here again

Very good hotel in Porto Alegre. I have been constantly staying at this hotel on my travels to Porto Alegre. Good room and great breakfast. The location is very good and the conditions of the hotel as well.
