Staff was wonderful, no problems. The room had very worn and done-in furniture, chipping paint, and even though we had a non-smoking room it smelled like smoke. It was fine for the short time it was needed but I do not expect to go back.

Don't do it. You'll never get your money back. I attempted to stay here 12/2023. Was told their card reader was down and they would only accept cash. Didn't have it, so I cancelled my booking there. Sometime later apparently their card reader did work, because they charged me for the entire stay. Even though the charge was from Expedia, who told me 4 different things the 4 different times I asked them, somehow, no one could reverse it. The hotel is a family of crooks, and I'm starting to feel the same way about Expedia. Would not recommend either.

The card table legs were ready to fall off and a large amount of debris under the couch other than that a nice property

Don't book here if it's cold

Granted, Portland was experiencing the type of snowstorm it's totally unequipped for. So I should not have been surprised that there was snow blowing in from under the door (which never melted all night) and that the heater didn't work and I had to sleep under two sets of blankets in all my clothes. But what's upsetting is that this hotel usually costs aroiund $50, and they gouged for $150 on a night when the city opened warming shelters all over and temps were in the teens. Shame.

The receptionist was aggressive. He never greated me properly. He opened the window and stated "yes" followed by "ID". He pulled up my reservation, asked me if I planned to extend and then responded, "good bc we don't do extensions". He then requested $100 cash at check-in for the security deposit. I offered my card and he declined stating he only wants cash money. After making him aware that nowhere it states cash is required and I do not have cash he demanded that I take my card to the atm, withdraw cash and return. This was at 10pm in an unfamiliar area that didn't appear to be the safest for going to an atm at night. Even the receptionist was talking through a glass and there was no front lobby. Nevertheless, it was cold and rainy with no shelter to be standing outside going back and forth. The lady in line behind me was just as appalled as I was. We both decided to leave.
