This lodging was everything I needed. The room was clean and well appointed. As the owner is working on a full restoration of the property he public hall wallpapers haven’t been done yet but as soon as you get into the rooms they are very nice.

This business is in the process of developing itself, so doesn't do meals - but does provide cutlery and plates for guests to bring in take-away meals. In a way, that 'in the process' is what gives the place an interesting vibe. The owner (also the only staff) was pleasant, good-humoured and helpful.

Posted 10 Mar 2024 on HotelsThe Queens is working hard to renovate it's rooms. We stayed in room 5. Everything was new and although they advertise no food we had 2 packets of breakfast oats that could be made with boiling water. 2 bowls and 2 sets of cutlery together with 2 plates should you wish to bring a takeaway to the room were also provided.
Although the room was newly decorated it seems there is a problem with damp coming in from above the bay window which is a shame as it's obviously been recently painted.
There are little touches here and there that haven't quite been finished but overall for the price, the clean comfy bed, newly installed bathroom it was good value

For the price it’s a little gem . Great location , clean & comfortable rooms. Great view from our room of the mountains. Hope to return 👍
