10/10 Excellent
"Everything was perfect from check in to check out. We stayed here 25 years ago when we got married and everything was still in excellent condition. You can tell they really take care of this particular location. "
"This was an amazing value. It was comfortable. The room was big. They did a great hob of cleaning each day. The pool and hot tub were clean and kept at a nice temperature. I would look forward to staying there again. They welcomed me each time and held my bag the first day I arrived since I arrived in the AM. It smelled nice on the property and in the room. A/C worked great. The property did a great job with landscaping too. There were palm trees and tropical flowers in bloom. I walked to Fat Boy ice cream, and that was amazing homemade ice cream. I also enjoyed Heard Dat Kitchen, Mais Arepas, Two Chicks Cafe, and Taqueria La Lucha, which I walked to during my stay. Even the Wendy’s and Popeyes next door were convenient. I attended a conference and I couldn’t have picked a better place. I thought about going to the French Quarter, but I felt ai had everything right by me. One thing minor though, I was going to walk 7 minutes to Fat Boy in the dark, but after a block or two, I thought it might be wiser to grab a frosty instead and walk the 7 minutes when it is light out instead. Even as a guy, I don't feel safe walking too far away from the hotel at night time. The absents of ample lighting, bars on some of the doors and windows (it may be decor) and the bobbed wire on fences had me worried. I did feel safe in the day though and had no issues walking 20-25 minutes in all directions."
