Lovely stay at Rose’s plantation house. House is beautifully appointed and lovingly cared for. Rose went out of her way to accommodate our very early departure. Looking forward to future stays here.

Our hostess Rose was lovely, a terrific cook, happy, pleasant, and very thoughtful. Breakfasts were so special and delicious, presented on beautiful table ware in a bright room with windows overlooking the green gardens. There is a lovely back porch where we enjoyed our time overlooking more beautiful gardens. Our room was quaint, cozy, and comfortable. The AC works very well and fans keep air circulating around the farmhouse beautifully. The bed was a dream to sleep on. Sheets and bath linens are very high quality with lovely soaps, bath salts, hair products for our use. Parking is on site and convenient. Walking to the shops and restaurants took about 5-8 minutes. We would definitely book again and will be sending recommendations to our friends!

Rose went above and beyond our expectations. Truly a cozy chic Inn . The attention to detail is noticeable; from the luxurious room to the outstanding breakfast… this is what all Inns should strive to be.

Rose was wonderfully attentive. Easy check-in; beautiful, cosy room; delicious breakfast accommodating my vegetarian diet. We had a delightful stay at this bed and breakfast in the lovely town of Port Hope!

The home has been tastefully restored and decor is exquisite. Furnishings are comfortable with like-new linens & bathrobes all lending to the luxurious feel of the place.
We were a bit taken aback when we discovered our bathroom was off a common area - though still private, it was unexpected to find the 2nd floor guests exiting through the same area we tiptoed through to access it! Wear a bathrobe unless you don’t mind parading in pyjamas. 😊

Dear Jocelyne,
I know you were a bit taken a back to find out the B & B opens at 4 PM and you were not able to check in 50mins before. Covid has brought a lot to light where rooms need to be cleaned and aired out for as long as possible, thus I will be keeping 4 PM check in always. If a guest needs to be at the B & B before check in time, then proper arrangements need to be made with the owner or the previous night should be booked.
The house was built in the 1830 and I do respect that and do the best I can by providing a luxurious feel as you mentioned.
