European road trip
Posted 29 Sep 2019 on HomeAwayWe stopped here on the way between the Sourh of France and Baden Baden. We wish we could have stayed at least a week as the whole experience was exceptional. We therefore decided to spoil ourselves by dining in the exclusive Muse restaurant within the resort. The 6 course menu was fantastic.

Wonderful family break
Posted 3 Sep 2018 on HotelsI wasn’t sure what to expect from here but it really was excellent. The resort is better than I was expecting. The £50/day for kids pool or spa is not needed as private access to the lake is amazing (and its warm!) On site facilities are great, staff are very helpful and although isolated, there are cute little villages on the lakeside road within walking distance for bars/restaurants. Suitable for couples of families - would definitely recommend.

The hotel was a good standard throughout. The location was excellent and it provided good facilities. Make sure you check what is included in regards to access to pool and other parts, including child care.
We got caught out on this as they have different levels for parts of resort. Overall a great Location and resort.

Beautiful location but watch out for upcharges!
Posted 9 Jul 2018 on HotelsHard to find since apparently one "version" on hotels.com has a different name. We booked under the Residenza Lago Di Lugano (not HOTEL PARCO SAN MARCO POR PORLEZZA). Be aware even though it might say "beach umbrellas" are included, they will upcharge for using their pools (50 Euros!) and they charged us for parking as well. The lake was awesome so we just swam in there during our short stay. Our AC unit in our bedroom didn't work but otherwise, the location is amazing.

In our Resort are situated 3 different products: Parco San Marco Lifestyle Beach Resort 4*S, the Dependence del Parco 4* and the Residenza Lago di Lugano 3*. As indicated on the website of Hotels.com, the check-in is at Parco San Marco Lifestyle Beach Resort. The price of the Comfort Rooms at the Residenza Lago di Lugano includes the use of the private beach on the lake and the outdoor relax pool (beach umbrellas included). The use of other facilities of the resort as the Fun Pool, the gym and the SPA San Marco with indoor pool, requires a supplement of Euro 50,00 per day/room. Please note all our extra costs are listed under “optional extras” on the Hotels.com website as well as on our website.
A piece of advice for your next reservation: if you book an accommodation at Parco San Marco Lifestyle Beach Resort or at the Dependence del Parco all the facilities of the Resort are included and also if you book directly with us, you will get the 50% off the parking fee.

The view from the terrace was unbelievable. We had dinner just down to road with "pelligrino" in the title. We had fresh pike from the lake and it was great. The hotel location is very good.

A site with views as perfect as the photos

Location: Lugauno is a 15 min drive on an amazing windy road to switzerland that is awesome and one of the Swisses bigger cities. Tons of food and entertainment
What is there to not say about this hotel. Its absolutely stunning, from staff, to service, to the room and everything in between. The site is a botanical garden, it has a wonderful full elevation change and beautiful stairwells and terraces, and a calming river running through it. If you cant relax here then you cant anywhere. The staff where sweet and very personable and spoke English better then I do, (I also learned some Italian from them) the activities even in off season where made available which was great. The rooms was also absolutely beautiful just as the grounds where, I loved the ornamental key you get, and the tilt in windows where so great as was the glass doors with the sheer curtains so you could let the beautiful spring weather in. I had one of the best experiences of my adult life staying here and I will be back next april if I can afford it again, that is a sure thing!

Pros: Views were amazing
Cons: They charge extra for most things-the breakfast is 20 euro/person which in my opinion is awfully high, there is a 50 euro/day facilities fee & parking
Location: Close to lake como which makes it easy to be able to see lake Lugano and lake como
The hotel was very nice. The restuarant on site was amazing-great service and very good food. Everyone was very helpful. Although I had requested a double and two single beds for our family they gave us a double and sofa bed since they could not find our request. Overall though it was very clean and the location was unbeatable.

Great hotel with private lake beach
Posted 29 Aug 2016Great hotel with excellent facilities and spacious, well supported private beach area. However, most impressive feature was the staff, all extremely friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble.
