Sweeping private grounds and stellar rooms
Posted 1 Aug 2019 on HotelsI booked the hotel Manoir Ogygia suite to treat myself after 6 nights of sharing a room after cycling all day and they did not disappoint. The suite is expansive with a private terrace and jacuzzi, enormous open shower, and even a sauna in the room. The service was top notch; they did not fail to impress.

Everything was exceptional, especially the facilities, the staff and the owners themselves. They have been running it for 17 years and it really is outstanding, especially the dinner in the dining room. We will be back! It was amazing. Thank you.

Sauna suit
Posted 29 May 2018 on HotelsFirst time to this hotel and the sauna suit was worth every penny.
Sauna in the bathroom, jetted tub on the balcony, kitchen and lounge area, comfy bed.

Beautiful small hotel, definitely a notch above most, with a delicious breakfast.

Lovely in the middle of a Village.
Posted 24 Oct 2015 on HotelsUpon arriving, the double metal gate entry was very grand with the grounds well kept and welcoming. The Welcome Sign had our name on it - providing a special feel. The gravel parking area was difficult for wheeled luggage. Check in was a breeze. The room we were assigned was quite small with a large bathroom. The bed had a hump of foam separating the two sides - not a nice touch for a "romantic" get away. The staff removed it the next morning, as well as added additional padding for the very hard bed. Storage was adequate for our clothes but no place to store our luggage. The room safe did not work, couldn't figure out the instructions. The towels in the bathroom were clean but thin and some were frayed; they should be replaced. The soap, shampoo and conditioner were good quality but had to ask that they be replenished. Breakfast was very European - eggs prepared as requested, breads, pancakes, croissants, cheeses, jams, fresh fruit, meats, coffee/tea/juice and yogurt parfait. I don't know if we would stay again, but it was an experience, with the setting a real treat. We were not able to eat dinner at the Manor but it seemed to be a real treat. It felt as if you were a guests at a grand country house, with the rooms warm by both the heater, as well as caring staff.

We want to go back
Posted 28 Aug 2015 on HotelsWe only stayed one night but it was enough for us to want to come back to this lovely welcoming hotel. It is in such a lovely setting you have a sense of peace and tranquillity as soon as you walk in the door. It is close enough for Ypres and we had a taxi take us there and pick us up, perfect.
Rooms are not large but well thought out. Breakfast was superb.
