Cons: Clarity in the sauna that nudity is not required as some of the hotel guests thought this was the case and confronted others.
Location: The skiing is quite amazing and history of the area as well. There is lots to do...during the winter there is downhill as well as cross country.
We were recently at Hotel Walther for a family ski vacation. The hotel staff was the best I've experienced and the half board dining option was an amazing deal for the high quality. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.

I enjoyed the included wonderful breakfast spread, hiking 3 days with the included hotel hiking guide, going to the Wellness area, afternoon treats. They will also pick guests up at the Pontresina train station. I had such a marvelous time at Hotel Walther, that I will be going there again next year but for a longer stay.

First class all the way
Posted 8 Apr 2016 on HotelsI stayed at Hotel Walther over the long Easter weekend. From the moment I arrived at Pontresina Station my stay was first class all the way. The hotel sent their driver to pick me up, and Mrs Walther personally welcomed me when I arrived a short five minute car ride later. Hotel Walther is at the quieter end of the small town of Pontresina, with fantastic mountain views. The hotel is beautiful, lots of light wood and traditional Swiss textiles, completely fresh, up-to-date and scrupulously clean. Lovely buffet breakfast included, extremely helpful concierge, and when I checked out they packed me off to the station with a lunch bag for the train! I'm coming back in July to see Pontresina in the summer and Hotel Walther is the only place I want to stay.
