A good deal in Pontianak

The stay was excellent the hotel nice and new. I would have preferred a small fridge in the room. And with the Breakfast buffet it would seem normal to have milk available for coffee and teas. We did ask for milk and it was delivered anyway which was good. I guess some bread to toast and jam etc would be nice for the western palette as dishes with chilli for breakfast is a bit confronting day after day.

the horrible checkin process!

Check-in process was too long because the staff received my passport and kept handling other customers before giving my room key! I received the key finally but didn’t give my passport! And I should go again! The room was also problematic because I booked twin room, but it was double bed room! The check in process was the worst in my frequent trip to Pontianak! The room itself was good as usual!

The service from the staff is great. Also the staff from the kitchen helped us to keep our food in their kitchen freezer, which helped a lot.

Room is generally for a simple stay. Cleanness could be improved as bathroom or room could be very dusty that housekeeping did not clean thoroughly. Could find rubbish under the bed during first night of stay. Toilet paper was not refilled. Have to ask for it.
