Traffic is absolutely horrendous. We booked this on the road and on line it listed when their front desk was opened. It stated to call directly to make arrangements outside of those hours. We arrived in those hours on a motorcycle and were concerned to leave it even for check in due to safety. The street sign on the front of the hotel was scary and it looked like a dump. We had a hard time getting into the whole building as we had to walk to a side street entrance and it’s part of what looks to be a gated apartment complex and we couldn’t get in. When someone came out we went in and to the floor of the hotel and nobody was there. We called the number 3 times and they hung up on us all 3 times. Since it was getting dark and we were in a bike in rediculous traffic we found another hotel southwest. When we arrived I had a WHATS APP message from the hotel. We tried to get them to not bill us since THEY weren’t there based on their listed times and even after going through Orbits yo contact them yo dispute they refused. We are not happy about it but we felt safer NOT staying in the city and just taking a bus to your Pompei.

A place to sleep and wash
Posted 13 Jun 2015
Pros: Was clean although shabby, close to where we needed to be and one member of staff was lvely
Cons: See above
Location: Excellent central position close to the main square, church and ruins.
Poor facilities, dated and tatty, beds not very comfortable. One member of staff very nice the rest indifferent. Was told repeatedly there was no wifi despite it being advertised, then given the password the day before we left. Got locked out on our last night as the man on the front desk went to sleep and left a key in the door on the inside. Had to disturb neighbours to get a number and when he finally appeared after 45 mins of ringing the bell he didn't even apologise. You get what you pay for, we picked this for twin beds and a location near to the people we were visiting.

Central location
Posted 24 Aug 2014 on HotelsNot to far from train station. Next to the activity in town. Some steps to carry your bags up. Rock hard beds and pillows. Tricky to find.

Great hotel for Insomniacs
Posted 1 Jun 2013 on HotelsIf you're a fan of not sleeping, then Piccolo Sogno is the place for you. Relax on a concrete slab mattress with boulders for pillows. Tile floors, loud staff make for an early morning racquet. This is a budget hotel that has no redeeming features, unpleasant and to be avoided.

For Pompei it's okay.
Posted 6 May 2013The best and worst thing about this hotel is the location. On the positive side is it is a block from the central square, only a five minute walk to the train staion and only a five minute walk to the Pompei Ruins. The negative aspect of the location is that it is in an apartment complex which is a bit tricky to find as it is tucked around a corner in an alleyway. And you have to find the correct buzzer to be let in. Water pressure was on\off. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. But I felt the hotel was not used to dealing with international clients and thier expectations havering stayed at other European hotels.

Good option for exploring Pompeii
Posted 7 Jul 2012 on HotelsThe staff/owners were wonderfully helpful. They really bent over backwards for us. The room was attractive and clean, but the air conditioning was a bit weak (seems to be that way all over Italy) and the beds and pillows were hard. If you don't have a problem with a very firm mattress, then this place is fine. The location is great for walking to the ruins and to the train stations.

Short walk to ruins, Very friendly staff
Posted 6 Jul 2012 on HotelsWe made our reservation as a result of a last minute change in plans. The hotel is a little tricky to find - like many of these inexpensive B&Bs, it's upstairs in a commercial building. The room was clean, comforatable and a good size for Europe. The staff very friendly. Breakfast was usual fare - nothing special, but good. It's about a 6 block walk to the ruins (collesium entrance), and 3 or 4 blocks in the other direction to the train station. If you want to spend your money on stuff and doing things rather than a fancy room, this is a great place to stay.
