Where to start, from the list of things stated as being there, no hair dryer,no toaster,my sister demanded one which was then supplied,no coffee machine,no cleaning products, very ill equipped kitchen for self catering,no hangers. There was a fold down bed in the wardrobe which I requested to be removed,my sister provided hangers. The apartments where being somewhat renovated during my stay so each night I would come back to something new,why this wasn't done earlier?. The new double bed was a hoot as it was made up with a hospital level plastic mattress protector??? I promptly removed that and the top sheet was a fitted bottom sheet. On arrival the original two singles were made up with just a sheets,no blankets? It wasn't warm enough for that,my sister provided blankets,I didn't ask the owner for any so can't confirm if they would have been supplied. The towels were very thin and useless, they weren't replaced during my 14 day stay?? Not sure if that is standard practice?not pleasant but I had alternatives,I wondered if the sheets would have been replaced if the new bed hadn't arrived? I saw the clean towels left for the next occupants, mmm, don't think they would be very happy. The housekeeping consisted of the bins being emptied and my cereal bowl being washed up,I swept the apartment each day,do you not get the floors washed, shower and sinks refreshed?? Confused. The owner was very friendly. I was very dissatisfied and wished I'd gone somewhere else

Amazing relaxing break!

Viki, Vasilis and the rest of the family who run the apartments and their restaurant are all very kind and helpful. The property is well maintained, especially the swimming pool area which is really nice! The views from the first floor balconies are stunning and the sunsets are amazing! We had the apartment number 1 which has 2 balconies and windows on 3 sides! Very good value for money, highly recommended! We were sad we only stayed there for 3 nights and would return there at any time! It's an ideal place/destination during this covid pandemic!

This was the first time we ve been in Polis area and Sun Camero was the right choice . Clean, silent, perfect location and the most important for me : warm welcome and smiling faces. Vasilis and his family were great hosts, he and his father were ready to answer all questions and needs. And the sunset was incredible! if u r planning to visit pomos or polis area even paphos, do not hesitate to stay here. The furniture was dated little bit , but all in working conditiond perfectly, 10/10 highly recommended

Fantastic Value, Views, Sunsets, and People

Posted 4 Nov 2018 on Hotels
Fantastic Value. Gorgeous view. Spectacular unobstructed sunsets from my room. Steps to a shallow beach that's great for swimming. Good for snorkeling. It's rocky but a few meters from shore turns to sand and reaches some rock formations. Can walk along shoreline all the way to the Pomos harbor (small harbor with beautiful view and even a beach bar). Very relaxing place. If you like to socialize, the counter bar by the pool is open most nights and local people visit too. There are a few restaurants within walking distance as well as a small market and a mini market that has every basic you need. Super easy bus service into Polis with many restaurants, larger groceries, banks; and to attractions like Aphrodite baths and the Akamas peninsula. Only an hour drive/bus to Paphos. The apartments are spacious--simple and clean. I extended four times because I'm on a a working vacation and find this a terrific place to get work done and still do some touristy activities. Here's the kicker: the family that manages Sun Camaro are some of the most welcoming, kind people I've ever met. From pleasant greetings, to inquiries on needs, to good food, company and even gifts of fruit from their garden, they have made my stay homey and happy. The local establishments and stores are just as welcoming.

Gorgeous location in unspoilt Cyprus

Posted 27 Jun 2018 on Hotels
Very friendly hosts Andreas and Vasili made us feel cared for. They genuinely wanted us to be happy on our holiday - and so we were! The location is amazing and there’s a great swimming pool. The kitchen in the apartment Was very sparse and dated. Little bit of money spent on the insides of the accommodation would make it amazing. The sunsets are out of this world. I would definitely come back again.

Quiet, beautiful location with helpful owners

Posted 19 May 2018 on Hotels
Beautiful view over the sea, well kept pool with ample sun beds for the 14 apartments. Full kitchen facilities in the apartments and a bath with shower over in the bathroom. The owners are wonderful welcoming people, parents don't speak much English but son is fluent. They own the coffee shop in the village and offered to make meals and bring them to the apartment. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them which was lovely. However I travelled with my 22 year old daughter and we had not realised how quiet the village is and remote. There was one taverna in the little harbour about half a mile further north and the owners coffee shop about half a mile south. A car is necessary to get about and we travelled south back to Polis Town and Latchi on the coast for groceries and activities (about 15 miles). The apartments are a bit dated and basic but the views from the front balcony are wonderful (see photos) and the rear balcony has morning sun and a view of the mountains. The pool is lovely and clean, well maintained and so refreshing. Steps from the pool area lead down the small cliff to the beach which is made up of large pebbles so hard to walk on. There were large waves while we were there so it looked quite dangerous to swim especially as hard to stand on the pebbles. However a fellow traveller swam there every morning without a problem. Certainly not for small children but there is a sheltered beach in the harbour area. The apartments are great value for money.

Brilliant location, excellent apartments.

Pros: Location; views, owner's hospitality.
Cons: A couple of wooden spatulas, to use with the new non-stick pans (instead of the metal utensils). Shower screens are a bit dated...
Location: See above.
Sun Camero Apartments are in a brilliant location - facing west, clear across 2,000 km of the Mediterranean Sea: You therefore get some of the best sunsets you'll ever see in the northern hemisphere... The place is run by Vasilis Pelopidas and his wonderful family: The also run a little cafe a few hundreds yard south, in the little village of Pomos, and are utterly hospitable and kind. The apartments are large, airy, with balconies overlooking the pool (excellent) and the palm trees, before a wall with the sea below. Nearby are dark sandy beaches: There's an excellent beach (often deserted) 1 mile north on the fisherman's harbour, alongside Kanalli fish restaurant; and another (even more often deserted) just another mile or two north, at Pachyammos. The apartments have kitchen facilities: fridge, oven, hob, some utensils, plus air-con in the bedrooms. I though my mattress was a bit hard, but I'm getting old and soft myself! We had the most wonderful, restful stay: 30-32 degrees every day (in June), and lots of rest: We're going back a.s.a.p!
