Good staff specifically manager. He was very kind and a good Buddhist. When ever my next visit to Polonnaruwa my choice will be Heritage

bait and switch

We purchased a specific room with two queen beds and a nice big French door but we're told when we were told that by the hotel staf ( who was very nice) that the only room they had was this tiny room that looked like a jail cell and had a tiny window you could not open because it was behind the bed frame.

Big basic room, friendly stuff, delicious food. Shower is good, strong and hot. Just pillow cover is dirty with hair.

The hotel is close to the ancient city (but you have to go back (5km) to the modern city to get into the ancient city. Except having a walk around the hotel there is nothing to do. The hotel is ok, staff is friendly and helpful, but in the rooms you can hear everything in the neighboring rooms.
