Check was quick and easy which was great as we were going to a concert at Roche Estate which was only 1/2 walk.

The property and staff are fantastic. Our room smelt nice when opening the door and it was lovely and cool inside thanks to the air conditioning.
The place has so much history which we appreciated.
On the negative side we were very disappointed after a big day that the restaurant was not operating, plus there was nothing else available to eat or drink. I would have expected coffee and cakes etc at least, but absolutely nothing, so we had to drive elsewhere for dinner.
It was a public holiday over the Easter weekend, but really, that’s when people are on holidays to relax and unwind.
Sorry for the negative comment and I hope that doesn’t detract others from staying there, but I guess one shouldn’t assume the restaurant will open every day/night so it might pay to check first.
