Did not honour reservation - 'sister' hotel poor
Posted 22 Oct 2017 on HotelsOn arrival we were told that the room we had booked was unavailable due to the festival and so we would have to stay in the sister hotel 'Paramount'. This hotel was in poor condition and very uncomfortable. Lots of insects in room/bed. The staff were friendly and booked us a bus ticket which was the only positive aspect.

Pros: The Staff was friendly
The room was clean
Cons: reduce Electricity cut off
Location: It's close to the lakeside you can access everything in Pokhara from this hotel
The price was great
The room was clean
If you woke up early you'll have a chance to see the Himalayas from the rooftop
There are some electricity cut off

It was simple and clean - better than we expected for the price. We enjoyed the little garden with tables, chairs and a swing. We enjoyed the simple breakfast and the friendly staff.

Decent location and affordable

Pros: Location
Cons: The rooms do not have any table to put your luggage. Nitiher do they have any cupboard for putting your clothes or valuables.
Location: Lake and shopping is very close by. Airport is also at a stones throw.
Since it was not very cold we had a pleasant stay. However, in extreme weather it would be uncomfortable because the rooms are not air-conditioned. Moreover no food is available except for a simple breakfast on payment. The hotel is based out of a house and is being run by a family living in an adjacent building. They are very helpful and hospitable.
