The only thing we didn’t like was that guests who came to see us were not allowed up to the room.

Nice but faded hotel
Posted 17 Jan 2024 on HotelsThe hotel really is nice - it has a very nice pool. The hotel seems to have gradually faded - but thankfully the process is slow. It still has lots of charm and it is still OK - but within the next few years it will probably need some improvements. Some basics are lacking - the staff said they no longer provide hairdryers which was surprising. The fridge is loud which was disturbing in the night. The hotel buffet has an excellent selection though and the staff are generally helpful and friendly. It is also bearing in mind that in the city centre of Pocos de Caldas the Minas Gerais is still one of the better options.
