Property was well kept. Area behind hotel hasn't very nice.

Water did not work right in sinks of our three rooms. Elevator was quite dirty. Breakfast offerings very limited. To top it off when one of us had to leave one day early we could NOT get either the property or Expedia to reduce our bill by one room one night. Terrible policy and blaming each other did not help.

When my husband and i arrived, the manager and a desk clerk were behind the desk. My husband specifically asked the manager if the hot tub was working and the manager was evasive and said, "as far as i know". We had driven over 8 hrs from NY to this hotel in Indiana, on our way to Northern Wisconsin, and my husband wanted nothing more than a soak in the hot tub. We got to our room and it was very warm, so we tried to turn the AC on, but the air didnt seem to be cooling. We decided to go get somethign to eat and come back and see if it cooled down. After an hour, we returned and it was still very warm so we told the manager and he moved us to another room with a working AC unit. My husband channged into his trunks and went down to the pool area and was EXTREMELY disappointed and disgusted with what he found. The "hot" tub would not warm up. The jets worked but the water was ice cold. He waited several minutes to see if it would warm and it did not. He was going to try the pool, but there was a slimy film on the top of the water, and what could only be described as some kind of green substance, (possibly algae?) on the bottom of the pool. There was no smell of chlorine, and no water being filtered into the pool, it was stagnant. There was garbage all over the floor, and the garbage can was overflowing and the insides smelled very bad, like it had been there a long time. My husband told the manager the next morning about it and he didn't offer any kind of explanation or apology.

our bathtub had hair in it like it wasn’t cleaned very well. it’s a smoke free hotel, but our room had a smoke smell in it. just wasn’t a very clean hotel in my opinion

For a Comfort Inn and Suites, I was really disappointed with this stay. The bathroom was full of old water damage to drywall, the bathtub did not drain so you stood in water, the pool was dirty, the hot tub had a smell to it, the pool area had no towels and when we asked for more the staff did get us a few more but said they were the last clean towels in the whole hotel because the first shift people didn't finish the laundry, the breakfast selection was basically just raisin bran and frosted flakes, the kitchen smelled terrible, there was a rooster perched in a tree outside our window that was crowing at night! I would not recommend this place!
