The 2 bedroom property we stayed in was outdated. The bed was comfortable but shower water was not filtered. Outside our room there was a giant pile of rotting Sargasso (seaweed)that smelled really bad and was also attracting gnats, insects. The cardio room/gym was the highlight of the facility although the second floor was not air conditioned every day and this made exercising in May 'uncomfortable'. :) It is also further away from the heart of 5th Avenida which makes walking into the center of the splendor slightly more difficult. Due to that inconvenient Sargasso situation, my wife and I can't review the hotel in a very positive light.

We liked the property, dining options are a short walk away. We enjoyed the vicinity.It's a great place for families. however, the condo was lacking cleanliness. We would love to come back and try a different unit.

Can’t beat this place for the price. I thought what we got for the rate was excellent. Pool was clean. Condo was good, but beds were very hard unit G11 and there was a very strong ammonia smell that persisted all week. But this place was cheaper than most 2 star hotels with way more to offer. The little bar by the beach had good fish tacos too. We could walk to tons of restaurants from here. Basically the value can’t be beat. We also liked this side of 5th ave more, it’s less crowded, feels safer and it’s pretty quite.

Property is not bad for price. Just who work there. Some people. A worker at beach club asked for tip even i did togo(take out for just 2 things). I didn't even seat any chair. Me and my family stayed for 1 week. Cleaning fee was expensive and there was no Cleaning supplies for guests. Also bric( it's company for that condo) only gave little bottles of amenities(shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a small soap). I booked mexico site of expedia first and then canceled. After book again in America site of expedia pakage(including flights). After I stay couple of days, bric lady texted me for my credit card because mine was canceled. I explained this and provided new reservation number, but still she was asking my credit card number. She ruined my whole day of trip. And she wasn't even sorry. Next day she sent me invoice for payment.. that even made me more confused. I got so mad at her. And then she explained that was from expedia. Why? Does she have to send me that? I paid to expedia and if she had problem with expedia, she should talk to expedia. Not me. Anyway, i never want to go back that place. The Elements.

As much as I love the location of property. I was not so happy with the enourmous pile of seaweed across the street. The smell would make it unbearable to sit out on patio. But in is not the Elements property of where that pile is. Elements in my opinion is quite the gem. Secure, clean and friendly. We stayed in 121 which had a great view of pool and the sea. My only problem was the musky smell, which i get being in a high humidity climate. But I know that can be treated. Not exactly allergy friendly for me. I will definitely stay at the Elements again next time i am in Playa.

We appreciate your feedback, and we are glad you enjoyed the facilities, unfortunately the seaweed, is a seasonal issue and this is completely out of our hands, on behalf of the city hall, there's people cleaning the beach everyday, but some days the smell can be strong, we hope you come back and that next time you don't encounter this issue.
