We really enjoyed our stay here. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is a very walkable location. The staff was friendly. A big bonus was Enzo, the resident cat. He was so friendly and came to our room multiple times to hang out. The sound from the bar nearby is a little loud sometimes, but personally it didn't bother us. The hammock was a nice touch and there were places to dry your beach clothes. Will stay here again.

I hate to give a bad review and rarely do so but we only ended up staying here for 3 nights out of 9 due to the noise. The club next door (we think?) was playing music so loud it sounded as if it was in the room until 5am the 3 nights we stayed. We like to party as much as anyone else but not being able to sleep until after 5am every night is just too much. We tried to get a refund for the remaining 6 nights we didn’t stay and they refused to refund, which is something most places would gladly do. I would not recommend staying here, but if you do make sure to get only one night to try it out because you will not be refunded if you decide it’s much too loud. They did provide ear plugs but those don’t particularly help when the bed is shaking from the music, and they did not muffle the noise much either. It also wasn’t the best when they justified their reason to not give a refund as being because the noise wasn’t “from the hotel directly” and then subsequently blamed Expedia, although Expedia attempted at getting our refund several times and in the final attempt gave us a small credit on our account (Expedia did, not the hotel).

The content of your message does not surprise us, but it also interests us.We will not deny that Playa del Carmen is a city that loves to party, and also that the music from a bar is a nuisance for some nights.But we continue to be surprised that you say , the music 'made the bed shake' until 5 in the morning. Adding a little too much to an already clear explanation, sorry if we say so, doesn't help. Truth is, the venue which starts playing some nights, finished at 02.40 on all three evenings.Furthermore, and since the hotel, as has often happened since 1997, was full, we must mention that the other customers continued their holidays as planned: this, respecting once again your opinion at least about the impact of the nightlife: to explain how over the years , future customers will be able to read absolutely contrasting opinions regarding the same room, and all worthy of respect .But it is also true that not all visitors are the same. Even the other hotel chosen as the second option by you (far away from the town) would demonstrate once again that it is advisable for the customer who knows himself better than anyone else to do a good research before booking a space in a town like this which is known, I repeat, for the beach during the day and the liveliness at night.It seems right to me to let it be known that in reality you first asked us to keep the room, only changing to the low floor plan, because you wanted to return, but this didn't happen.We run a business : that, like an airline, has rates and policies that are fairly easy to read. Of course you received a polite message from Expedia, but at no time a refund statement, because this Agency follows the rules of the rates.We also hope that all of this is not a reaction to significant, if unintentional, damage to the roof ventilation system, for which you were asked to pay.But we think that above all, your comment will be able to be read by many people and everyone, reading one so negative, others excellent and others still average, will be able to decide how to design their holiday just as they wish, and for this we thank you .

Not a bad place to stay, it is what it is… cheap, rooms were clean & safe. It was a bit loud at night from the neighboring bar. My BIGGEST issue was that they wanted $200 to watch our bags after checkout while we went to Walmart (8 minutes away). After spending 2 nights there, this felt excessive & greedy. Won’t be coming back, too many other/ better options.

Thank you for the visit !We charge a deposit for the bags ( 50 pesos / unit/ day ) , but it is not mandatory . In fact , our storage area is offered by an international app at three times the price to external clients , and we also look after those clients who cannot have any other option leaving their vacation rental . Walmart is close , and we usually don't charge for a request of dropping the bags and have breakfast or lust buys. But we did look after the luggage anyway , would you skip the flights if they charge for them also ?( it is an open question an makes sense, since hotels and flights share the same challenge : lower rates and get extra income for extra services to end the year with positive results . And our rates are really low !)

It’s the Mexican charm and location.

Staff excellent, place clean. Bed was comfortable… If your looking for that Mexican charm, this is the place, location is excellent and wifi is very good. If you want a brand new state of the art, not your kind of place.

Very friendly employees. Good location. Beautiful property. Conveniences - fridge and microwave. A/c worked great.
