Love the river view that we had from our room. Wonderfully calming. And very relaxed atmosphere in the facility. Good place to get away and relax.

Very friendly staff and wonderful building. We didn’t get to take advantage of the lounge or bar but both looked very nice and inviting! Definitely recommend for a cozy rustic stay :•) thanks for having us ! If we’re ever back in IL we know where we’ll be staying <3

My daughter and i just loved the atmosphere and the people. Very friendly and welcoming. We had a long drive and so we were very grateful about that.

River view rooms are the hidden gem at this property.
Service and hospitality were very good, food was exceptional and surpassed expectations! Great pizza as well.
Only issue we encountered, had nothing to do with the lodge, was everything is closed on Monday & Tuesdays pretty much town wide. Great experience over all.

The lodge was clean and the staff was great. The hotel is very dated and tired. Carpet in the room was old as was the bedding. We could hear the people in the room next door talking. Our room was in the basement so no outside windows. Only a window into the inside hallway that was lit all night.

We're happy to hear that you found the staff enjoyable and the rooms clean. We are trying to update rooms per level and unfortunately you where booked in the lower level which has yet to be done.
