Beautiful historic hotel full of character and within 5-8min walk from the train station. Staff is very friendly, welcoming and super helpful. Bedrooms are very comfortable, warm and clean. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. I had a lovely stay and will stay there again if/when I come back to Penrith.

Stayed in room 20. This room has been refurbished to a decent standard however I did not sleep very well. I could hear traffic noise and late night shouting from people passing by due to the old windows not being completely air proof. Would have given a higher rating if this could be improved, maybe add secondary double glazing? Breakfast was ok and plentiful. If you’re used to sleeping in complete silence, as I am, then maybe this is not for you

Beautifull hotel, located in city centre and within 5min walk from the rail station. Very warm welcome, stunning bedroom and bathroom, very quiet. Just fantastic, I wish I could stay here forever!

Evening food was very poor quality. Drinks were first class. Room was dog friendly and very comfortable.
