We booked for 4 nights for 4 couples at The Mountain Courtyard but at 10pm the evening before I received an email to say that due to a 'technical fault' we would need to spend two of our nights at the sister hotel, Forest Canopy, just 1km away. Although frustrating, this turned out for the best as the Forest Canopy staff and dining experience is far superior.
The rooms at Mountain Courtyard are good - we had a studio - and the surroundings are pleasant. Where the hotel falls down is the standard of service. Staff are not particularly pleasant, nor attentive and not well trained. They really need to take lessons from their sister hotel where the staff can't do enough for the guests.

Gorgeous views

great position but away from things
Posted 26 Jan 2018 on Hotelsgreat views from hotel room. in a quiet location but away from things:not good if you wish to visit the town or walk. staff are very friendly. although a new hotel there are, alas, repairs going on and signs of decay. some pubic spaces lack character. this being said, the hotel is good value and my stay was very pleasant

We are not in the crowded tourist town and we are located at a quiet location ,about 3.5 kms from the town and most of our guests see as an advantage. We do have short nature walks from the resort , if the guest wants to experience the same.The repairs that you saw were routine maintenance that was carried out. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
