First day, Nadine asked me paying 64usd while Expedia told 61usd that made me show a proof. We had to deposit 100usd for allowing to check in. After coming room, we found out water into toilet didn’t fluent after using. Everything was floating on its face. I used messenger to text immediately to her because we couldn’t bear this. All was quiet until morning. Her husband talk like shouting to us,” here is not resort, all thing in toilet” while we just came about 2 hours. Then she was standing in front of my room with loudly words”no cheating, can move to another..” but don’t tell any money back. Why I can move when I paid all and plus deposit money? Welcome guests without any bottles of water only like that only half day they stay? Parking through website is free but she answered no any parking there although inside no any car. Kitchen was difficult finding any pots except some dishes and big bows, many warnings like removing shoes white the ground makes my foots become black after go in and out, should turn light or AC off when come out evenly half hours…Those made me so scary, no dare to use it any second. Cleaning fee charged but nothing to help although once I asked. At airport, when we just meet her, she helped by difficult to look for any bank excluding here that made us change more money than we expected. Finally we changed back and losing a lot! After coming home we are so regret after reading a new review about City Home Tahiti, I’m stupidest so much!

Thank you for your review Mr Pham from Vietnam !Well it is not a surprise at all and it seems that you are not happy about staying in Tahiti ! You think that all people are kind and stupid at all to believe how you deform the reality !Well, before you fly out from your country, you had texted me several messages asking everything like if we have hot water in tahiti, if we have linens on the bed, if there are supermarket , electricity, bus etc... seems that you had never travel in your life ? You can check on google that Tahiti is a well developped country and yes we are civilized !well it makes me surprise that you live in a modern country like Canada as you had pretended ? and not open minded at all ?? You think that French Polynesia is like jungle and only beaches around, no school, no shops, no hospital , we are not in Africa Mr Pham !I was scared receiving you in our place in reality and it was true, you brought from home all foods ( tradionnal soups, crackers, biscuits ) lotion , soaps, oil, medicine, bandage in case off , in total 4 luggages full off useless things for few days in Tahiti ... you just don't want to spend one dollar in Tahiti, so why you choose our destination ?The toilet well functioned when you arrive,we noticed that you put a lot of paper towels inside the wc and blocked it, as we have special toilet paper for this... please don't lie... everything well functionned and the kitchem is well equiped and adapted for everybody, you have also chopstickes and bowls for all yours SOUPS that you ate every nights:)))If you read carefully all conditions about City home, Tahiti, well that's seems strict for people like you, as remove shoes in tahiti is a tradition, because you put shoes inside the house, your foot became black and dirty, it's normal... :(Electricity in Tahiti is very expensive, which means you have to turn off the air conditionner once you leave the house or room...It is also good for the planet where you live...And the last and not the end, your bill regarding cleaning fees and city taxes was total 6460xpf 65 usd for the rate of the day, so 61 usd at the time you made the reservation and the time you have paid on spot differs depending of the rate of the day !For the bank, of course you have fees like all over the world ! Only polite and open minded people will understand our position, I am happy that people like you want come in our place, feel sorry that you didn't read the previous review before you arrive in tahiti, which was the same customer lile you, so poorly behaved, dishonet and please don't travel anymore if you are miser, and dishonest.Don't travel, you will save your money. We have received more than 200 tourists from all around the world, they were all happy with our service and assistance.CITY HOME TAHITI

BEWARE! You are renting a room in a house. The way they advertise and the amount of $$ , one would think its a whole house. They will ask for additional deposit and a cleaning fee of dollars even though you may be sharing with 3 other ROOMS. In addition there are signs and rules for everything. I asked for a blanket and was told no. I used the washer dryer, was charged a fee and they changed the lock so no one else can access unless you ask permission. Location is so so . You are better off staying downtown in Polynesian Cabins by Kon TIKI. location is across from the ferry, clean and they dont ask for any additional fees.

Dear Mrs Yang,Your message contains several lies concerning your stay at City Home Tahiti. For your information, our manager Nadine has been working for 20 years in the industry of tourism here in French Polynesia dealing operations with international tours operators and travel agencies in Europe and in North America. In other words, she knows her job quite well. You complained about the fact there are too many rules in City Home Tahiti. We do need rules. We have rules about the rubbish and waste products because we are an island we MUST recycle and sort plastic products. We have rules for smoking areas because there are other guests in the house in order to respect them you can smoke only outside. And you have also rules for the washing machine : remember here water is precious, we try not to waste it. If you had the opportuniy to travel in other archipelago in French Polynesia especially in the Tuamotus there are no mountains , so they collect water from the rains and stock it in tanks. They do NOT waste it.No need to launch a laundry for 2 or 3 clothes just before flying back home it is wasting water for nothing. Think about our planet. If there is lock on a door , usually it means this access is private or limited to staff only. Guest are not permtited beyond. In hotels you may have encountered these situations.Entering despite this information is just impolite and rude from you !!!You forgot to mention in your review that you have "inadvertenly" took a brown towel from another guest and use it as a beach towel without asking. All these « rules » as you said are clearly described in Expedia conditions. You have to read all the conditions and in case City Home has welcomed more than 200 customers from many countries : Germany, Spain, Switzerland, France, America, Peru, Israël, New Zealand… It is the first time a guest complains about the fact there are too many rules. We strongly encourage you to read our comments on other booking sites. We are sorry if you didn’t read the conditions before booking in our establishment. Tahiti is an expensive destination. Air Tickets are expensive and high-cost, we do know that. Hotels and accommodation are expensive here, cost of living is expensive. You have to keep in mind it IS a bugdet to come over, we know for a lot of them it is a travel of their lifetime. We hope your comment will be useful for us and it will not attract, rude, discourteous and bad mannered customers at City Home.Only polite members will understand our point of view.Regards,The manager

I highly reccomend this as an affordable place to stay in Papatee. Its about a 10 minute walk to the town centre so its very well situated. The place itself is very well equipped with an excellent kitchen and comfortable couches and very good TV in the common area. They have parking available. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. The host Nadine is very accommodating and friendly. The only drawback I noticed was the sound of traffic that you can hear from the room.
