Nice but far from anything to do.

Posted 17 May 2019 on Hotels
The hotel itself is nice for the price, aircon works great and clean with nice staff. However, the location isnt walking distance to anything (not even a place to get water/snacks), so you have to hail a tricycle on the road to go anywhere. 300P to alona beach where there is things to do. Internet was 10 - MBPs, and GLOBE Cell service is great there. so if you have your own motorbike (rental) or driver service its a good budget hotel.

Staff was very friendly. Hotel is old and we had a lot of ants in the room - especially the shower. Breakfast was like deep fried eggs. Hotel is too far away from the main area but if you rent a scooter it’s totally okay.

Mandatory simple cold breakfast

Washroom and shower room very primitive; no where you put your tooth brush....

Quiet place at Panglao

Nice place but too far from Alona Beach. Size of the room was bigger than expected. No restaurants around so visitors need some kind of transport to do anything they like unless they hang out by the pool all day long.

Neat Little Resort

Posted 16 Feb 2016 on Hotels
The room is spacious and clean. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. However, i wish they would change the shower rod in the bathroom which is rusty. The pool was refreshing for a quick dip if you dont feel like going out. Location is 10mins by tricycle to Alona Beach, 20mins walk to Dumaluan Beach, which is much quieter and cleaner than Alona. The only nearest food place is Binalot which is a local restaurant just next door to the hotel, surprisingly good local food although it always looks empty. The fried banana fritters was nice. I would recommend going to DBA Grill (local hawker on the beach) just right next to Dumaluan Beach Resort for tasty grilled seafood, very reasonable pricing compared to all those resort food on that beach. Stay here if you want some peace and quiet from Alona Beach and dont mind taking the tricyle to Alona Beach.

Nice affordable place to stay

We paid 27€/night and I think this was quite good value. Location was a bit remote with most services situated in Alona Beach where you will need to take a ride (about 40 pesos) though we rather liked it this way rather then being right in the hustle and bustle. The place could really use a couple of sun beds since there aren't any. Service was extremely kind and helpful. If you don't mind the location and the lack of sun beds I would definitely recommend.

Deteriorado y MUY ruidoso

Posted 3 Jan 2019 on Hotels

Missed chance

Pros: The place looks very nice overall from outside. The garden style is very pretty. Mostly relaxed staff and friendly atmosphere.
Cons: Food services. Direct route/road to beach, it's just 200 meters away directly, but you need to go long route (2km) if you want beach.
Location: Location is a bit distant from Alona beach, which is mostly tourist trap. Dumaluan beach is closer, but you need to pay to enter the dirty beach.
Not all went very smooth, but that's life. I hope they have fixed the problems with expedia about the matters. For short, do not expect cooking utensils in family room if they still advertise as such. Staff was nice to help with issues we had and overall stay was pleasant. Problem is that there's no place to eat if you're vegetarian, closest place is near-by (1000meters) restaurant in a way to Dumaluan beach around with limited menu. The fast-food joint next to Natsu offers food only for meat eaters, you can get rice+egg in case of urgent need for protein from it anyhow. Or go and eat at Alona beach, but then it's already wiser to book closer from Alona beach to save travel expenses. Rooms had slight problems with friendly ants, those did not bother too much but some might find them rather unpleasant guests. price:quality ratio is still ok, but I would not book again just because of my diet. For short: Vegetarians and such avoid, and for rest of humanity: might be good place to book in. Just improving breakfast menu would do magic.

Fint til prisen, men ærgelig misforståelse

Posted 29 Apr 2016 on Hotels
