We were on the 13th floor out of 15 stories. At 04:30 there was a loud 'beep' as someone attempted to get into the room. Once awakened, it was difficult to sleep again.

The Door at our 220 dragged on the floor to open/close, other wise everything was very nice,

COULD be a paradise by the lake but….
Posted 20 Feb 2024 on HotelsThis hotel is in a prime location on the lakeside. It’s also in easy walking distance of Panajachel with good restaurants.
The staff make this place and couldn’t be more helpful or friendly. The gardens are well kept and the restaurant food was fair value. However….
Unfortunately the room looked like a motel pull in. We could have been anywhere. The decor was retro 60s not colourful Guatemala. The room was large but the bathroom not well appointed. A tiny sink, tired and hanging on the wall for its life and toilet which didn’t flush properly were not what we expected for the money paid. There wasn’t even a shelf to put a tooth brush. Just not thought through.
The restaurant is a huge room, brightly lit with no ambiance. After a meal or drink, there is no where to go of an evening to relax and chat.
Subtle lighting and some sofas and easy chairs in part of the restaurant would have been comfortable and kept us in the hotel bar longer.
This hotel needs some TLC, maintenance and thought regarding guest comfort.
Not value for money or what was anticipated.

The property has poor cleanliness in the room and bathrooms. The bathroom sink was shaking.. no hot water ... Showers don't work properly.
They didn't give me a tour of the property and inform me of their sauna timings and other facilities. When I asked them about it they said its something they don't inform guests unless asked.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were well maintained. The views toward the lake were incredible. An enjoyable visit.
