The restaurant is a bit of a scam … there is no price and you end up being charged for things you either didn’t eat or didn’t know was charged … this is very dishonest … never seen that in any other hotel in Portugal during my stay … shady !!!

Rundown property with mold, parking garage access is very tight for an average car.

Nice Budget Hotel
Posted 5 Sep 2017I had a great stay at the Meia Lua. It is an older hotel but it was clean and the staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was great. Although I didn't use it the pool was nice and big and clean. I would definitely stay at the Meia Lua again if I was in the area.

Good choice away from busy Porto
Posted 4 Nov 2015 on HotelsVery affordable and good location in Ovar, convenient to mail highways to Porto and to the coast (nearby). The old town of Ovar was very close by, as was the market. Unfortunately, the hotel (when we were there) seemed almost deserted, maybe this is a seasonal thing? Anyway, despite the lack of customers the staff is making a very good effort to leep things running and their assistance was very much appreciated. Yes, I would stay there again; good location, fairly quiet, quite clean, nice staff, good free underground parking, some maintenance needed on plumbing and there's a need to tackle the mold issue in the bathrooms (we had to change rooms due to mold). But, for the price, location and service; generally a very good stay. Thank You.
