Great people and location

First Time in Brazil, Great Pousada Experience!
Posted 14 Jan 2017 on HotelsThis was my first trip to Brazil and staying at this pousada was a great way to start. The staff is friendly (although no staff members speak English, from what I could tell), the property is VERY well maintained, and the breakfast buffet selections were excellent and filling.
Note that the property has MANY steps, so if you have trouble walking, you should request staying in the "upper" building as opposed to the "lower" building farther down the hill from the lobby.
The patio and pool area (with a lovely view of the mountains) is located between the two buildings, midway down the slope.
One upside to staying in the lower building is that it is far from the main street and therefore much quieter. The hallways in the lower building (where I stayed) have hardwood floors and motion-sensor lights, so that can be disruptive to sleeping (earplugs and eyemasks highly recommended).

Pros: Breakfast and room and kind staff.
Location was good too.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: It takes 10 minutes to central of the town by walk.
The breakfast was excellent.
The room was cute and comfortable.
There is a small pool in the yard.
Most of staff can't speak English, but so nice.

Posted 30 Jul 2023 on HotelsPousadan ligger väldigt centralt men på grund av backarna i Ouro Preto kan det vara bra att veta att det är ca 60 meters höjdskillnad till Praça Tiradentes. Pousadan utgör ett komplex av byggnader, till största delen nybyggda fastigheter i historisk stil. Vi hade bokat ett deluxe-rum men tyckte nog att det motsvarade ett standardhotellrum. En mycket positiv egenskap var att pousadan hade inverter på rummet - det går alltså både att värma och kyla rummet (Ouro Preto är kallt på vintern). Det finns också en bra anslutande parkering till pousadan.
