"The property itself has a lot of potential to be a great place with minimal effort. However, it clearly showed its age. Living room furniture was stained. Owner did provide sheets to cover at our request so we could sit. One of the bedroom window shades was broken and it took owners five days to respond after our request to fix it. As we were leaving day after, we told them not to bother. We also had to ask for additional towels as the ones provided were not sufficient for four people staying...

"We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The bedding was the most comfortable I have ever had in hotels. We slept so well. The hotel is conveniently situated near the overground station , it takes 25 minutes to central Porto. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was excellent. My only criticism is that the hotel charged my credit card twice for the tourist tax, once upon checking in, once when checking out. I did say to the young girl who checked me out that I had paid for the tourist tax upon checking in to make sure i wouldnt be charged twice. She assured me i would not be double charged but they did!!! I did send an email to the hotel through Expedia ( as the hotel doesnt have a direct email adress) but this still remains unanswered. I did try to call by phone but again no answer. I do not know if this is a genuine mistake from the hotel, but if they do this to everyone, they must be making a fortune! So, I would advise people to watch out for this.
