Just OK

Posted 2 Jul 2019 on Hotels
The location not as good as described, because to get to the closest beach (which is not very nice), you need to drive there. There are other beautiful beaches at 20 min dive. The apartments are big and well equipped, but it is not mentioned that the towels are changed only once a week??? unless you are paying when you need new ones.

Good position; however, no cleaning staff in 5 days. Reception ok. Sufficient parking spots. No wifi coverage, unfortunately. Good value/price ratio. Renato

Just about ok!

Posted 12 Sep 2018
A little disappointing really. I booked this place because there was supposedly the use of a pool in a sister establishment 800 meters away but when I asked about it a rather superior large gentleman in reception replied, "You have the beach and the sea". There were other let downs too. The hotel had "Restaurant, Bar and Pizzeria" advertised across its frontage but there was no bar and on the one occasion I looked to use the Pizzeria/Restaurant it was virtually empty and totally lacked any ambiance. The room was ok. Simply furnished with green stained rustic furniture and two beds, one double and one single. There was a fair sized TV with about 5 channels but none in English. The bathroom was good, with an excellent shower (apart from the usual luke warm water after early evening), bidet, loo, hairdryer and adequate lighting. A fair sized balcony included a kitchenette with a four burner hob and pretty much everything you might need, including a good 'fridge, to knock up a simple supper. A kettle and a microwave would improve the facilities however. It is perfectly adequate as a base to tour the east coast but a couple of days is probably enough.

Overall is good, but with the B&B service there's no room cleaning or towels change.

lovely residence

The apartment are newly redecorated in lovely aquamarine colours , they have all the comfort you might need with the lovely kitchenette the nice beach is about 12 minutes walk and few supermarket and bars are only a minute walk from the residence the additional rental of umbrella on the beach and a sunlounger is only 5 euros a day definitely recommended but you need the car to explore the nearby areas

Hotel was pretty good, staff were excellent.

Posted 23 Aug 2014
Pros: Staff were excellent, very friendly. Rooms were spacious and quiet.
Cons: The breakfast buffet was OK but could have had better coffee! Swimming pool could do with a more shallow end for smaller children.
Location: There are great beaches and the national park are nearby and also don't miss out on the largest stalagmite in Europe which is 30 mins away.
Sardinia is a great holiday destination and this resort is popular with Italians, but not crowded even in mid August. This area is close to some great beaches and some spectacular scenery. You definitely need a car to get around not least to go the 2 min drive to the excellent swimming pool which is remote to the hotel. Eating was not a problem are there are a number of restaurants in walking distance and a local shop if want to knock up snacks in the perfectly functional kitchenette in the apartment. We had a great 10 day break and our two boys had a fantastic time.

Clean hotel, facilities good. Staff not the best

Posted 23 Jul 2014
Pros: Location. Terrace. Cleanliness.
Cons: Pretty much all of the staff.
Location: Good beaches. Bars & restaurants OK. Ice cream parlours good. Orosei is a nice town. NOTE: few businesses take card payment. Cash required, few ATMs
This is a reasonable hotel. The room was clean and a decent size with a good large dining terrace (no view) with cooking facilities and fridge. Slight problem when room occupants next door were cooking fish and the odour wafted into our room. Breakfast was ok but not great. Staff were not very helpful or friendly. Hotel is 3/4 mile from a good beach. Excellent other beaches nearby. A few options for eating out nearby also. Hotel is easy to find. The hotel did not clean or make up our room while we were staying there (3 nights). We had to ask for clean towels after 2 nights but their attitude was not good. The place itself was OK but the staff let it down a bit.

Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff

Posted 1 Sep 2013
Pros: We felt it was clean, friendly and comfortable. The dinner on half-board was generous, with a buffet of Sardinian specialities.
Cons: Breakfast was enjoyable, but could be improved with some non-sugary croissants, a wider range of juices and proper coffee (it comes from a machine!)
Location: The beach at Cala Liberotto is clean and calm, ideal for families, with good restaurants. You can also explore the coast and caves nearby by car.
We are a family of four, with two adults and two children aged 7 and 4, and we stayed at the Cala Liberotto on a half-board deal in August. The staff were friendly and helpful with advice and warm towards the children, who enjoyed the atmosphere very much, particularly the breakfasts and the evening meal which had entertainment in the form of Mario, who sang in Italian and English and had a wonderful voice. There is no pool on site but it is within 1km of a lovely beach with dedicated sun loungers and parasols for hotel guests and (on half-board or by arrangement with the hotel) the use of a pool and facilities at a nearby sister hotel, Le Palme. There is a small but fun playground in the hotel which our children really liked. We were in a quiet self-catering apartment which was air-conditioned, comfortable and clean, with a kitchenette on the balcony. Over all we were very happy with our stay and - if you don't mind the absence of a pool on site - we would recommend it to families with small children.
