We had a great time but issues with our unit. No power in the master as well as several kitchen outlets. The ice maker didn’t work, and no trays! The door was ajar when we arrived which was a little odd. We put in a repair request but never heard back or saw any attempt at repairing. The lazy pool is fun but only 1.5ft deep for all of you adult travelers. It had a lovely view, but when paying $$ it’s nice to be able to watch a movie in bed (no power! No reading lamps!)

We did a three day rental and had NO air conditioning for the first two days in the month of August with record breaking temperatures and a heat index in the high 90's. We reported it immediately after checking in and we were told we had to wait until the next morning after 9 to have it looked at. The unit had to be completely replaced. We were told it was fixed so we came back to our room only to find out that it was still not cooling down. They had to call out another technician and this time we were told that the duct work was bad and it wasn't the AC. Needless to say we had no AC until 10 p.m on day 2 and it was barely working and unable to cool the unit down properly. We were told we would be compensated and now the hosting company Hosteeva is refusing to issue a refund as indicated during our stay. There were other issues and broken items that we reported as well. Overall our experience was not a good one and we spent a majority of our vacation dealing with repairs when we should have been enjoying our time off.

It is beyond disappointing to read this review you left; we not only had the entire ac replaced in less than 24 hours, but we also offered discounts equal to more than 1 night free to compensate you for the time you were inconvenienced (the ac was reported after 9pm of your 1st night - and it was replaced the following afternoon). We do acknowledge the it was hot and uncomfortable - hence the refund offer which you declined. We are very sorry for the negative experience you had. We honestly tried to be fair.

A little disappointed

The stay was good, however, there were pests (roaches) in the unit. The power cord to the cable box in the bedroom with the twin beds was missing. Lastly, the power button to the jacuzzi in the Master bedroom was very difficult to push/turn on. Would definitively visit again with the hope that these issues will be addressed and remedied.

Sometimes, even the best of us cannot prevent a roach from climbing up a drainpipe and making itself visible to the guests, which is unfortunate. We love caribe resorts and stay here often. We booked a 2 bedroom because they don’t have 1 bedroom units. We’re a married couple and share bedroom and bathroom. Caribe boasts large master suites with huge master bath, 2 sinks and walk-in shower. We were upgraded to a much larger unit but the master suite was locked off from use by the owners. . So no king size bed and using separate bathrooms without walk-in shower. Inconvenience and not as comfortable.
