This lodge is a gem in the middle of the desert. The views from the room and dining area are priceless.

Best lodge I stayed at on my 17day Namibia trip.

What an amazing lodge in the middle of nowhere. The surroundings is just incredible beautiful and you will experience the best sunsets. I could kick myself for only booking one night. Dinner was fantastic too. First we started with a Brioche with three different kinds of butter, followed by an amazing salad, then Beef filet on a delicious mushroom sauce and to finish all this off a nice pudding for dessert. In the morning I had springboks right in front of the veranda. Will definitely go there again!

Skippable

Posted 3 Jan 2020 on Hotels
The area around the property is cool, really nice rock formations. The property itself from the outside looks unique but other than that it’s skippable. Check in was extremely inconvenient and long (couple of hours), no capability to pay via credit card on checkout. Staff not helpful or knowledgeable on questions about vicinity. Go to Spitzkoppe instead.

We chose Ai Aiba to spend our 10th Anniversary during a two week trip to Namibia and we were not dissappointed. The food was excellent and location is just pure magic. We hiked over the rocks at the back of the lodge and saw San paintings.

High quality in a remote setting

Posted 13 Feb 2018
Pros: Location and staff. From the manager Louis to the gate man, everyone was so friendly and helpful
Cons: Nothing at the lodge but the 'operators ' of the San Living Museum need to take a look at whether more could be done to improve the visitor experience
Location: Great remote location but accessible. Fairly limited 'excursions' but the hotel guides are good and the bushman paintings make a visit worthwhile.
This lodge is in a great location and although the bush trips won't quicken your pulse, the knowledgeable guides make them a good experience.
