This place was clearly quite smart in its day, and it has been preserved in a very presentable condition.
There was not enough hot water for a shower or bath on one morning, but plenty on the other. I took breakfast, which was generous, and included some local colour.
A free bottle of water in the room would have been nice.
My room overlooked a huge building site, but there wasn't much going on, so it was possible to open the window. This was a good thing because the room, even with the aircon on, was very stuffy. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful. I needed to print a train ticket which had been sent to me by email and they took this in their stride.
Handy for trams, and walkable to the historic centre in 15-20 minutes. All in all, a nice place in its dated way.

Very good and clean but shame about the sauna not being available but these things happen but overall really good

Staff were very helpful and the room was good and clean. Close to the city centre (walkable) and international bus station.
The room did feel a little hot but the window opens up so no trouble.

A very weird location, and perhaps not the most attractive of areas. Very easy walk into the old town area and its attractions. Can recommend the Chinese restaurant in the building in front (You may even get a chuckle from some of the translations into English. I didn't try the "chicken with odd taste" but the picture did look ok). The room itself was noisy. You can hear everything in the corridor and people in the next room were clearly audible. If you need a taxi, get the reception people to book it. The company they use charge the best rates.

The facilities were great, cleanliness perfect, reception and restaurant staff weren’t as good. Reception staff is expected a smile and explain necessary information about hotel when check in, but we didn’t receive any and when asked , were responded unwillingly. Restaurant staff kept taking away plates when we were eating and as soon as they were empty from the table as if they wanted us to leave quickly.
