No light in bathroom. Room wouldn’t lock

Parking is right out front. Some short hikes nearby but you probably need a car to get to longer hikes. Cute little bars/ dining areas one about a 25 min walk and the other right around the corner. Think this hostel is more popular in winter for skiing but room was great and kitchen and shared spaces were cute and homey.

To be fair, I was the only person there so hard to judge. Can imagine it would be noisy if others were coming and going. Simple but nice accommodation. Clean and tidy.

Had a great stay: met a nice group of people and had a couple of nice days on Turoa. Thanks for keeping the place so clean Branden.

We had a fabulous time. Owner was fantastic and Frankie the dog, so sweet and gentle.
We had a small unit with a airing room under the stairs. Everything was clean and user friendly. Gas fire so we were warm and snug. Electric blankets too 😊

slat bed not comfy, so made do on the 2 seater with legs up n over the arm rest. Still got restful sleep - just not ideal.

Sorry you didn't find the slat bed comfy, I will look into it and see where improvements can be made. The sofa was you slept on was a pull out and might of made a difference for you nights sleep. Hope to see you again.

Clean and tidy, nice warm clean rooms, super friendly staff, spacious living and kitchen area

Close to everything, clean, modern and warm
Posted 23 Jul 2019 on HotelsHad such an amazing weekend in Ohakune. Rimu park is perfectly situated close to everything. The apartment was clean, modern and the gas fire was ready waiting for us. Couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely be back again.

‘Choice’ one bedroom apartment, modern, warm, clean, perfect for us - 2 adults and tween. Awesome views of mt Ruapehu from around town and car park entrance at back. Loved our stay, weather was perfect, easy drive to Turoa in 2 wheel drive, great day of snow boarding 😊
