Personable employees, good location. Was not prepared for the 50 steps to our room... my fault but we managed!

Perfect stay, no issues at all! Note there is no elevator and quite steep stairs in the few hundred year old hotel. Loved it, my daughter carried up my bag 😀

The whiskey selection is excellent and the bartender was very knowledgeable. The front bar was so cozy. Shopping within walking distance with some gift shops and a book store too.

Rooms were clean and tidy but it’s a older hotel
The stair to get up to the rooms are terrible.

Thank you Brent for taking the time to leave us a review, we are delighted that you found your room to be clean and tidy and recently refurbished.For any future guests reading this, our hotel was built in 1870 and has a spiral staircase, (which we can't do much about.) There are numerous pictures online and on the booking site which you made your reservation through, showing guests what our staircase is like, I do apologise if you missed these. Had you required a room on a lower floor and let our staff know this, we would have been more than happy to try our hardest to move your room to a lower floor.
