This property was close to downtown Oban and had parking available. I would stay here again. The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean.

Nothing to shout about
Posted 12 Jul 2022 on HotelsWe arrived after 9pm and followed the instructions left by the host to locate the key. However the key was nowhere to be found. After contacting the number listed on the instructions, the host turned up after around 15mins. Turned out the key (and our room) was taken by other guest :(.
We were then given a replacement room in the next property Cameron Guest house (same owner). By then, it was 10pm, and we were rather tired. My daughter sat on the single bed in the room and to her horror, it gave way. Gosh that gave us a shock. The owner then fixed the slab and promised that they would come and fix it properly the next day.
I would have thought that given all these inconvenience, the host would have shown some form of gestures but there were nothing when we return to the room the next day. No apology note, nothing. This is rather disappointing.
Also, to note that the wash basin in the room is really really tiny. And i mean tiny. You can hardly wash your face in it. And the shower head is fixed in a position - you can’t rotate it at all.

Thank you so much for your review, it was after 10 pm you arrived as I was in bed and i apologised that it had taken me so long to get down to help you, when i realised what had happened we got you sorted as quickly as possible so you did not have to wait around due to another guest not reading anything and helping themselves to other rooms, again, we apologised for this.
The bed on which your daughter sat down on, it was only one rung at the end of the bed and we had a look at the time with you and you were happy that we sorted it the next day due to the time it was, as she was able to sleep on it.
The basin in the bathroom is to be used for washing your face and brushing teeth it is not supposed to be used for clothes washing, a service we could have provided you with if you had asked, we had to move the clothes when we went to fix the bed the next day.
You never mentioned anything at the time and your wife and daughter seemed more than happy that we could provide you with a quick solution and helped out with moving your bags etc that was mentioned in another review that you had taken the time to write elsewhere, would have been good if you had actually mentioned to us you were really bothered as you seemed really nice and happy at the time of the check-in even considering the time of night, no mention at all during your stay or when you were leaving and we offered to help with bags.

Comfortable room close to town centre good parking
Posted 20 Jun 2021 on HotelsStayed for one night during a 10 day tour of Scotland. I left my observations of my stay in a review with a different company but apparently I'm told by the owners that the shared (bathroom) economy double room should have been a 'clue' Can I advise that you check the description of your property on hotels.com with absolutely no clue to shared bathroom or economy. We did use the new wi fi code as provided but to no effect. I did state that my problem was with hotel.com and not the property and I apologise if you have taken it as so.

Thanks for the review i have double-checked again and we definitely show Economy double and all the rest show ensuite also the confirmation that I did send through the booking site stated that the room shared a bathroom. See below

Stop in Oban
Posted 30 May 2021 on HotelsIt was nice to discover Oban. The location is good, only a few minutes walk to city centre, very clean and overall comfortable. The decor is a bit dated but it has charm.
Unfortunately with C19 restrictions, there was no contact with the team and no breakfast, I missed the human contact but all was very well organised.
