Very basic rooms and unwelcoming reception staff: Swan tower Novo Hamburgo is said to be a 4 star hotel from the outside and in the lobby but it lacks the very basic room amenities such as a bathrobe, a pair of disposable slippers, an iron and a simple coffee jug- no 4am coffee lol unless you called over the phone (paid extra) and that would probably be a bother understandably. Bar looked amazing but it was a real struggle to get anyone to help. Always empty and unattended. Rooms were VERY basic and shower needs a good glass and tile scrub. Black mould was spotted easily all over and away from eye level. the rostered staff did not smile or say hi at all for the 5 days we stayed. they appeared literally glued to the reception computers completely unaware of everything around them for the 5 days we stayed there and we passed by the reception dozens of times. One had to call their attention otherwise they wouldn't even raise an eye, or say hi, or try to look friendly. It was a very odd behaviour overall from the all-male reception staff, no help was offered at any time - actually one young man offered help once -, but we had to drag heavy suitcases around which they pretended not to see…a bit of a shock..absolutely no smiles or friendly welcomes either. It almost felt like we were a bother to the reception staff, definitely not staying there again for this reason. Amazing food though and free buffet breakfast was superb - chef’s burger and the kitchen staff were amazing.

Great hotel and staff !

The staff is the main reason we keep going back, however … staff is very friendly and Mathew goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we are comfortable and enjoy our stay . Rooms need an update, but other than that our stay was perfect.

The breakfast buffet is great and it’s operating again in a very safe and sanitized way.
The hotel is very clean and sanitized and they’ve taken all the necessary actions to make the entire hotel as safe as possible to avoid Covid.

Mathew at the front desk was outstanding , but everyone was great and went out of their way to accommodate any requests we had!
The complementary breakfast is delicious and everything was homemade! Great selection of juices, smoothies and fresh fruit! We’d stay there again for the breakfast alone, bur the staff just made everything perfect for our stay! We will definitely go back!

Business trips to Novo Hamburgo

The gym is good, but the pool is freezing!!!

My wife and I were at the Swan Tower NH for a meeting at the FEEVALE university and the location was great, the hotel nice and clean - not fancy but good- and the staff could not have been been more helpful!! I will stay there again without any hesitation.
