Friendly family run small hotel in a country area.

Pros: Tasteful lounge and dining room.Nice breakfast with plenty of choice. Charming owners.
Cons: It is difficult to find anything to criticise. Maybe the lounge area could have been a bit warmer.
Location: It is a very quiet rural area with no big towns nearby. So walking, cycling and enjoyment of the peaceful countryside are the main attractions.
We used the hotel as we have family who live in the village. Due to ill health they could not put us up so the hotel was very convenient.We were made very welcome at all times and the service was excellent.It has a reputation for gourmand food and the dinner we had during our stay was very good.

Pros: The food!!
Location: We were only travelling south & didn't get to see a lot other than open countryside.
It would be a great place for cyclists and walkers!
A comfortable and friendly place to stay as you travel the through France.
The food is excellent with the owner and chef Sylvain being a superb cook & his wife Valerie an attentive host aided by Jane who is English & can help if there is a language problem.
The only down side is the unreliable wifi which is typical of many places in the open countryside but if that isn't a problem & you don't need it that much who cares.

Perfect for some quiet
Posted 16 Sep 2014 on HotelsMy wife and I stayed here to break up our travels between Burgundy and Bordeaux. It's a little off the beaten track, but the evening we spent there was very pleasant. The hosts were fantastic, very friendly and even allowed us to use their garden to eat our own food (we had been eating out a lot and just wanted to eat some basic food we had bought earlier). All in all we would highly recommend staying here, the peace and quiet alone is worth it!
