Very bad when they turn water off at 8pm and you don’t get it back until 8am the next morning. Can’t flush toilets or was your hands. The did give us a bottle of water!!!! They blamed the city however we turned the water on across the street and next door to prove they were lying! Don’t stay there. Oh and they charged me twice!!!

Terrible . No water for most of the day when we hear. Can’t flush toilets etc. ants in room. Air conditioner sounded like a freight train. Stay anywhere but here!!!!

Yaxa is a very unique place in Nosara. All of the staff of Yaxa treat you like family and put in great attention to detail in every aspect of their offerings: an intentional, beautiful design and art throughout the space, gorgeous and vibrant beverage menu made with fresh fruits/herbs, a delicious complimentary breakfast that is nourishing and culturally-driven, and regular cleaning and tidy check ups on the room. The owners, Lisa and Lucca, helped us set up accommodations during our stay, such as rides to and from airport and connecting me with a local language tutor. These folks have created something special here! Yaxa is in a short stroll to the main beach, Playa Guiones, and all other parts of the town are walkable. We hired a tuk tuk driver for a couple of occasions but that was easy as can be. The beds are comfortable and the wifi connection is great (I had to have some virtual calls for work during my stay and had zero issues). If you are looking for an intimate stay that feels more local and less resort with the same comforts and more, this is the spot for you. We left feeling very inspired and taken care of. Thank you!

Arrived in Liiberia at 8 so hotel only had a security guard outside no staff to help. Red ants all over the room. The internet and tv didnt work. The whole place is under construction so its messy and doesn't look like the photos. I left for a few minutes and a cleaning person was in my room cleaning even though i was checking out thst morning and they moved my belongings around. Would not recommended

staying at this property made our first time in Nosara all the better! the hospitality of all the staff is unlike any other accommodation we’ve stayed at. the complimentary breakfast is a plus! we absolutely loved this boutique hotel experience and will most definitely stay again should we return to Nosara!

Quaint and Delicious

It was an adorable place with lots of nice people to talk to in the evening. The owners are kind. The food was different each night with a special chef or meal and all of it was excelling. Started with burgers (best ever!) and then the most amazing dumplings. It's small - so I think as long as people understand that it's very chill it will be great.

Lisa and Luca, and the entire staff of Yaxa are beautiful people, who go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and pleasing as possible. Yaxa is a perfect location, walking distance to the beach and many restaurants and other amenities, with plenty of Tuk tuks close by to take you where you need to go. Surf schools and instructors are plentiful. The coffee and breakfast are delicious.
