A lovely hotel with super staff
Posted 27 Feb 2024 on HotelsA very friendly place. Staff helpful and quickly resolved a problem with the heating in our room. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Breakfast was very good - especially my pancakes!

Posted 4 Oct 2023 on HotelsGreat pub,restaurant with comfortable accommodation, friendly helpful staff, the pub has a great selection of beers & lagers the restaurant has a good menu with great food. As they are right on tha A140 can be noisy at night unless you get a room at the rear. Highly recommended

Fantastic find! Wonderful 17th century building, room was split level family room, very big and super clean. Staff were absolutely brilliant and the food/pub/bar superb!

Disappointing
Posted 14 Aug 2023 on HotelsNice service, and did have a good nights sleep, but the bathroom was not very clean and the entire building smelled pretty badly when we arrived. Couldn’t really detect what was causing it so could have been nearby farming which can’t be helped! The bathroom needs to be updated cause everything was corroded or stained and the shower was leaking after use. My wife noticed a sticker from a bar of soap had been stuck to the tiles and not removed. Bit disappointing
