So glad to hear your group of two couples were comfortable in the cottage. We'd love to host you again when you're in Dunedin next time.

Great cottage close to Dunedin CBD

Posted 24 Jul 2017
Pros: Personalised service and location
Location: The Height of Dunedin is about 10 minutes out of town in a lovely location.
We had a lovely time at the Height of Dunedin. The room was well appointed and as described (cosy for the 5 of us!). The beds were comfortable and the facilities really clean.

Lovely well thought out accommodation

Posted 20 Apr 2017
Cons: It needs a small cooker and better signage!
Location: Great for Dunedin, Mosgiel and the sights around!
This is a lovely cabin on 6 acres of small holding run by a young couple. We were given a warm welcome and had fresh milk and free range eggs in fridge, and all the complimentary items usually found in a good hotel. The bathroom is large and has an excellent shower, and the double room is spacious and the bed very comfy. Only problem was organising the cooking as whilst there is a portable hob and small table top oven and microwave, there is little table space and few plug sockets - really just a small cooker would make this lovely bolt hole perfect. We found the place difficult to find as it is tucked away on the brow of a hill -(indeed the height of Dunedin,) but we were informed they are awaiting delivery of a sign. Sat Nav will get you there but you need to look hard for the entrance! Excellent value for money, very comfortable we had four of us in the cabin and everything bar the cooking bit thought of. Would go again.

Thank you so much for your comments. I'm sorry you didn't receive my welcome email with directions but as you say Google Maps will get you to us and we're pleased to say that our awesome sign has arrived now. Take a look at the photos of our entrance or better yet book and we'd love you to come and see for yourself! :) The kitchenette is a trickier one. We have packed the cupboards with appliances as much as the space will allow. We understand a kitchenette is not ideal for longer stays such as yourselves so will keep your suggestion of a cooker in mind for future upgrades.

Lovely 2 room cottage with quiet rural outlook

Posted 8 Mar 2017 on Wotif
Pros: Its location and layout were perfect for our needs. While I jsut required it for a stopover, it was also well set up for families wanting a farmstay
Location: This cottage was located at the top of the hills overlooking Dunedin and Mosgiel. Perfect for people travelling further south.
Since I was travelling south with my adult son, I was eager to find 2 room accommodation that would give us separated sleeping space, on the southern side of Dunedin. This cottage was perfect for our needs, just off the alternate route through Dunedin. Being rural, it would have been better to arrive during daylight but now that I know where it is I will be keen to use this place again. It was very quiet and peaceful and it was lovely to pull the curtain open in the morning and see a sheep grazing nearby.

Beautiful quiet location close to the city

Posted 26 Nov 2016
We had such a lovely stay here...Ngaire was so helpful and the cottage was cosy and comfortable :) Ngaire is a phone call/text away. Fresh milk on arrival. Heat pump to keep warm. Beautiful surrounds - adorable sheep and lambs outside the windows - and an easy 10 min drive to centre. Will definitely stay here again.
