Not particularly clean or well decorated. Awful night in the hotel. Problems with people in room next door. Despite this, staff were helpful and apologetic about our stay.

On arrival the staff were welcoming and they reception areas appeared clean and in good repair. On going to our room, the carpets were worn and appeared not to have been hoovered. Room itself was generally clean, but bathroom grout gave the impression it was dirty. The room opposite was extremely noisy and arguments in the other areas of the hotel went on till early hours of the morning meaning we could not sleep! Although the night staff did try to deal with this with very little success. Just when thing's settled down and we thought we might get some sleep, the heating system came on at 6.30am and the radiators in our room started playing what I can only describe as Tubular Bells! So sorry Humber View, although you're unable to predict your guest's behaviour and your staff are friendly. I don't think I will be returning. On positive note the breakfast was nice with a variety of choices.

All the staff we encountered were friendly and happy which is always a good thing at a hotel! The views from the terrace of the Humber Bridge were beautiful, was a shame our room didn’t have the same view! We only stayed for one night, but would stay again if we’re in the area again.

The stay was great. Luckily the weather was cooler than the last time we stayed there as the rooms get quite hot. The beds aren’t very comfortable and the pillows are awful. Won’t stop me using it again though as it is very convenient for location.

The hotel is certainly in need of some refurbishment, a four star hotel that has threadbare carpet in the rooms is a bit on the sad side. The mattresses are hard and lumpy and the rooms are very warm and with limited ability to open windows. Areas of the breakfast dining room could do with a clean, namely the wooden walls the layer of dust and grim was not pleasant. Staff were very happy, helpful and friendly. This was a night away booked using Expedia points so coat is nothing, if I’d paid for it I would have been very upset. I won’t be rushing back.
