Hotel de L'Amphitheatre is perfectly located. When you walk out the front door the arena is right there. Despite its very close proximity to a busy area the hotel is very quiet. We stayed for 3 nights and it was great. The room was bright, spacious and clean albeit simple. Artur was so helpful and friendly. He carried our very heavy bags up to our room while we went to park the car. If you have a car it will be tricky because you can't drive into the old town. There are several underground parking garages but they are quite expensive, 28eur per day. We warned the building is ancient and well maintained but there is no elevator so ask for a room on the lower floors if possible. It is a great place to stay, I highly recommend it.

Fantastic location so close to the train station and all the wonderful places to visit in Nimes. Spacious room.

Very near the amphitheater and many restaurants. The street by the hotel was very noisy the night we were there, with road cleaning, bins being collected, etc.

Old historic building with a lot of character. Great value, clean, and quiet. Managers lived on site and were very attentive to our needs.

Excellent location, steps away from the arena.
The rotating young staff were all very friendly and helped with carrying our luggage, giving information, spraying the room to get rid of mosquitoes or when we needed an extra towel etc.
The bathroom would benefit from a bit of a refresher, but it is good for a 3 star hotel.
I personally don’t like the plastic mattress cover which makes the sheets slippery but it may be there for a hygiene reason.

Posted 27 Sep 2023 on HotelsNothing compares to the1st Class service I received. The friendly staff were very attentive to my needs and always available. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was elegant and three times the size of most hotel rooms.
