I trully apreciate the stay at hotel Abalone for its very friendly staff, cleanliness and security policy (the main entry of the hotel closes after 22.00 and only the hotel tenants and staff can acces, by a private entry through the car parking of the hotel).
Two steps away from the train station, it has perfectly served my needs.
Also, the town center with the main tourist spots is located not far away.

Very close to the train station without having to hear the anouncements of the trains or rail sounds during the day or night time.

I feel obliged to explain the negative rating on comfort: we arrived in Nimes in early August, at the height of an incredible heat wave. We were thrilled that the hotel was directly across from the train station because we had such a lot of luggage, and the staff were very friendly. However, it was incredibly hot--we were on the top floor, and despite two fans it was a miserable, sticky, sleepless night.... Again, the heat wave was intense, but if you are travelling in high summer, you might want to search for a place with AC.
