Nothing's too good/Nothing's what you get

Posted 2 Mar 2020 on Hotels
Guests must read the lengthy list of things the hotel does not/will not provide. Simple things like towels, room cleaning, these are all considered extras. No window screens so windows cannot be let open for breeze. Poor lighting on badly kept pathways. Parking impossible without 4WD. Not a good place for working travelers. Price is actually all anyplace in Ngwesaung is worth. They also need to insure they do not have a bedbug problem. Perfect for unwashed backpacker hippies on a budget.

Dear Robert Walsh, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. A hotel booking, like any other contract, needs to be clearly checked before confirmed so that you know what you are booking. On the website it clearly states that we do not have hot water, that the electricity runs only from 6pm to 6am with the support of a generator and that the wifi is only in the commons areas and due the location it is not stable. If all of this is suitable for an unwashed hippy backpackers then so be it. We highly prefer to host nice and polite people that do not swear at staff because they don't understand a tick arrogant American accent. Next time you come to NgweSaung please book at those expensive resorts that allow you adipose trump supporter to forget you are in the country you came to visit.

Wasn’t great. Rooms were in need of basic furniture and better cleaning. Needs massive update. Could be awesome if that happened

I was ripped-off !!

Posted 11 Jan 2020 on Hotels
I just checked the rates again for this hotel and the MOST expensive room was $24 and cheapest $8. I was there 2 nights in January and paid a total of $100US. I was shocked upon arrival. plastic lawn chairs IN the room. no electricity/ac in room from 6am - 6pm. the room may be worth the $24 per night but certainly NOT the $50 I was charged. the staff is nice but I was OVERCHARGED and feel like I was ripped-off !! --- Peter

Dear Peter, Thank you for your words. Thanks for checking the prices of your stay in a different period that you booked. Let me remind you that you booked for NYE and New Years' day, those are the most expensive dates in the season compared to a random mid-week Wednesday were you would pay 8 dollars for the dorm or 25 USD for the room. Also, the price was well available and readable to you before you booked. In addition, thanks for mentioning again in your review, but as already mentioned on the booking platform and as explained during check-in that Ngwe Saung is not on the grid. That means that every place works on generator and this limits our power from 6pm to 6am. We hope you will be able to enjoy the rest of your holiday, Safe travels

Très belle location. La vue, la piscine superbe. Restaurant Bonne nourriture.

Posted 18 Jan 2018 on Hotels
