I would say to anyone considering staying in this property think again, and move to another lodge unless you like to be harassed, kidnapped for 12 hours ( by locking the gate and not letting us go to Serenity four seasons till midnight when it was too late), Keeping me and my friend outside without a/c, food or water in the heat of Tanzania. Manager in Neptune Ngorongoro acted like he belongs to some criminal enterprises, thinking of nothing as racketeering, insults, threats, intimidations by sending his other gang members pretending to be police, causing my blood pressure skyrocket and nervous breakdown with crying all that time. Finally after reaching breaking point I started to fight back, by calling Expedia, American Embassy and other lodges in Serengeti where we were on the way to FOR HELP! This experience left a bitter taste about whole supposed to be nice vacation time across half of the world. I have been all over many continents, and seen good and not very, but in general hotels always trying to accommodate and resolve the problem. But this NEPTUNE NGORONGORO can't be even characterized ( the only things coming to mind is Torture chamber)

Dear Valued Guest,Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We value all genuine feedback from our guests as it helps us improve our services. However, we must address the behavior and events that transpired during your stay, particularly regarding the outstanding bill of USD 891.Upon your arrival on 16/3/2024 at 2:08 pm, you requested a Ngorongoro game drive for the next day, and we provided you with the price list as requested. On 17/3/2024, you went on the game drive that we arranged, and upon your return, you also consumed an extra lunch. After presenting you with the bill, you indicated that you would return with cash to settle the payment. However, upon your return, there was an unfortunate incident where you engaged in shouting, abusing our staff, and creating a disruptive environment. This behavior is not in line with the standards of respect and professionalism we uphold at our establishment. We have comprehensive CCTV footage and recordings of the entire incident, including your decision to sit in the parking area yourself. It is important to note that involving local authorities in such situations is a standard procedure when there is a breach of conduct or a refusal to cooperate with settling payments. We want to assure you that we take guest satisfaction and safety seriously, and we have protocols in place to address any misconduct or disruptive behavior. We have all the necessary evidence to demonstrate the events that transpired and your refusal to fulfill your financial obligations. We kindly request your cooperation in resolving this matter promptly to avoid any further escalation or inconvenience. Should you require any further clarification or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.Sincerely,Neptune Team

Superb stay at Neptune!

We had a fabulous time and loved the special attention they give to their guests. They have thought of so many details to make you comfortable, including hot water bottle under the sheets at night! Super cozy as the weather was cold. Each suite had 2 fireplaces - very spacious with a great terrace. We are surely coming back to this one!

We had a great stay here. It is a bit rustic but comfy. Some of the furniture had staining and should be replaced. Food is the best part. Chef is very good. Amazing donuts and the best curry I have ever had. I do wish they had more games for kids ie checkers or cards. The staff is amazing. They work their butts off to make sure you are happy. Please tip them. You are a terrible person if you do not tip the service staff in Africa. I do not care what your country customs are. You tip in Africa.

Neptune was a paradise hidden in the middle of the forest. The facilities are well kept and looked after. The food was amazing. The service hands down was the best service we have ever experienced. The staff is happy to help and accommodate. They go above and beyond to make your stay an awesome experience! I would 100% recommend this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. Joseph, Martina, Clara were great. The cleaning crew were superb! Restaurant staff was always happy with a smile on their face. If you arrange a tour through the hotel make sure you ask for Peter as your tour guide. He has an eye of an eagle and is humble and always happy!!! Thank you Neptune staff for making our stay one of the best we have ever had.

Wonderful stay!

Pros: Everything
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: We went to the Ngorongoro crater and this was fantastic.
The staff and service was excellent - every effort was made to make our stay as comfortable as ever. Nothing was too much for the staff who were friendly and welcoming. The lodge was of the highest standard and a pleasure to stay in. We didn't want to leave after our two days.

Probably the best hotels in the area; great food

Cons: Wifi speed
Location: Ngorongoro crater is incredible
The manager, Manish was exceptionally attentive and helpful. Food was very tasty and well prepared, which I didn't expect given that its all inclusive. It is hard to find truly great hotel and service in Tanzania, and this seems to be it.
